As i've said, I failed my will save the moment they said they were offering a new kickstarter.  Hopefully, i can pick up some additional pieces from the last KS (I know i can just buy them, but i never think about it unless they are running a kickstarter) because I love the badgers!

I like the Badger Mage's personality so much I absolutely had to put it in my initial order with them!

...Which reminds me, I really should put another order in relatively soon... After the Kickstarter of course.

My favorite is still the badger mercenary.  I need to ask and see I'd they still have any metal ones left.  That and the hare warrior.  There is just something about that expession that says 'bring it on' I can't resist.

I really can't wait to see what this ks has to offer!

We've only got them in resin now - sorry!

We've got a link to the project page now - the project isn't live, but there's a 'Notify Me' button there, so you can get notified when we launch, if you like!

And here's another beastie:

Such is life, I understand the decision and I will probably order another to see the differences but he did make such a weighty piece.  I will certainly hit the notification button.  Your kickstarters are always worth supporting.  Keep up the great work!

(And if you find a dusty old metal badger or dragon. Keep me in mind .  Mom always said it never hurt to ask...)

Dragon?

Where?

I'm guessing that the 'weighty piece' is the main reason it's only available in Resin now.

Casting in Metal, particularly when the casting job is outsourced, is expensive. And having a bunch of them sitting on a shelf ties up a lot of money.

Resin casting is slow, but can be done in-house easily, and on more of an 'on demand' schedule.

The dragon's an old model, from our second Kickstarter, back in the mists of time... I don't personally like it much, TBH! I reckon I could do a much better job now. But I'll give the moulds a spin when I get the chance, and see if they're still OK.

The badger in metal was not really a cost thing - as a big (113g) lump, it used to overheat moulds rapidly, and often suffered significant pitting. So getting decent quality reliable casts meant going to resin, and having done that, it made sense to do it for all the bigger models. But while we can do metal casting in-house, proper resin work is tricky, and something we outsource.

Hey don’t knock yourself. That was a beautiful dragon.

But, by all means, do another dragon :;):
