And Now for Something Completely Different!

Recommended Posts

I love this!!! Coco is one of my favorite movies, but there's so much that I relate to that I've only been able to watch it once. I'm so excited to see one as a mini!!

This looks like so much fun! What a great mini, too. Hurts that it's so much prep.

Big Top Red! Marigold Yellow! Some of my favorites colors from Reaper's catalog. I'm going to have to try that Seoni Scarlet, I kinda love it here.

I was surprised to see you shade the edges of the eye after the basecoat; usually with eyes I work from the edges in so I can be a teensy bit less precise. Is this how you always work, or just because this one is chibi?

Thanks guys!

Sanael- this mini's eyes are huuuge, so I have a lot of space to work with.  With busts, where they're a bit smaller, I'll sometimes work out to in. it's generally a lot of pushing and pulling back and forth until I have the shading where I want.

GrnLantern- yeah, I find it makes more sense to folks if I do a step by step.  I often forget to take enough in progress pics, though.

Nos4ah2- One thing that helps with patterns and brush control is to start with a darker color and then reclaim some of the space with your lighter color.  It is hard to draw a thin straight line, but much easier to clean up a line by placing another color close to it.  Hmmn, I have a mid-stage of my giantess cloak:

The pattern was a bunch of circle with criss-crossing lines connecting it. You can see where I've drawn it in in the dark color, then come back with my light color in the middle.  I also spend a lot of time cleaning up the edges with the yellow. you can see touch up areas above the pattern and inside the circles. The more you simplify the pattern, the easier it becomes. Don't be afraid to clean it with the back ground color.  No pattern is placed perfectly the first time.  Well, maybe if you're DKS...  l often draw things out on paper to make sure I have them right as well.

Expansion Box ($40, so $120 total)

We will ship your rewards at our cost to our international hubs. Depending on where in the world you are, we will either ship to you from our hub in the UK (EU backers), China (Asia Pacific backers), Singapore (Singaporean backers), Canada (Canadian backers), Australia (Australia and New Zealand backers) or Atlanta (USA and the rest of the world). Following is a list of rough estimates for shipping a standard game package (4kg volumetric weight). Keep in mind these are just estimates, and costs may rise based on weight increases from unlocked stretch goals and any optional buys you choose.
USA: $10-$20 to most states. $50 to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.  CANADA: $15-$30 to most cities.  LATIN AMERICA: $70-$80 to most countries.  ASIA: $10 to China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. $35 to most other countries (we can’t predict an estimate cost to Malaysia). OCEANIA: $20-$45 to Australia. $40 to New Zealand.  AFRICA: $95 to most countries.  EUROPE: $20-$30 to most countries.   • $35 to Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia.   • $50 to Bosnia/Herzegowina, Croatia, and Iceland.   • $70-$80 to Israel, Liechtenstein, and Serbia.  • $90 to Belarus. Unfortunately, different import laws and customs have made it impossible for CMON to ship games to certain specific countries.
*WE DO NOT SHIP TO:* Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.

Here is the start of pathfinder red, which I’ll be doing as a Sapphire dragon, similar to what i did with the Grenadier Red Dragon II (which I did as  a Ruby dragon) a while ago.

Just base colors here; dark blue/black wash over his entire body, earth wash over the sand, and white statue. I really like how the blue and brown look together. The brown will be lightened up to sand, and the blue will end up a more saturated dark blue. I hope those colors will still look good together...

This was the last mini I finished painting in 2019, I finished it around 10 pm on New Years Eve.  This is also my first Chibi, I painted her very close to the box art, but I didnt quite get the right shade of light blue, and her hair is more golden rather than pink in the art.  Still happy with her.
