Popular Post Othikent
"I can't believe it's not an Aboleth" Picked this guy up awhile ago on a whim and since an Aboloth has come up in a game I'm playing in recently I decided to paint him up. Gave me a lot of practice with layering and I love how the orange turned out especially for the eyes. and I finally got some subcutaneous veins to look alright. Spoiler I'd love to hear what you all think. Edited September 10, 2019 by Othikent
Glitterwolf
My first thought is: I will never go swimming again... Wonderful colours, love the eyes and the base completes it. Good work!
vulture
Really nice. I appreciate the base style you went with - it really compliments the mini well and gives it an immersive feel. I can imagine it silently gliding along the bottom of an ancient underground sea....
Highlander
Blue and orange; blue and orange. Which have been so prevalent over the last decade that they have become trite. Except here, where you really put the pop back into the color contrast. And made it work. Kudos!
Othikent
Thank you! Glade everyone likes it! Such a contrasting color scheme was a gamble for me but I'm happy it turned out so well.
Sanael
Hmm. This reminds me, I need to finish mine. The metal version has been sitting on one shelf or another, basecoated, for... Probably ten years or so? Three living spaces, anyway. Yours looks great! I love the colors.
