I made this unsettling horror in the Bones conversion class at Reapercon out of a Cthulhu body, some dragon bits, and a Mashaaf tail/body.

I have a lot more converting to do before she's ready for paint. Due to being hastily assembled using nothing but knives, nippers, and super glue, Frankenbeast has some issues. There are lots of gaps, the right wing was placed in the wrong place, and she is going to get a head swap/adjustment, since the class had none available in the right size. So if anyone knows where I can get a cheap dragon head, please let me know!

Outside of gap filling, I haven't sculpted with green stuff before, and I've only converted one figure before this, so I'm a bit intimidated, but I'm just going to jump in and hopefully learn as I go. Any sculpting advice will be appreciated!

First I yanked off the neck and right wing to shift the wing placement. The tail came off too, but that was an accident

While I was in there, I filled some gaps around both wings and tried to blend out the scale texture. It's a little messy, but looks okay from afar.

The wing placement is a lot more natural now, but they're a touch static. I may try heating and reshaping them into a more bent pose later.

Cool, in a gnarly, magical experiment-gone-quite-wrong sort of way!  Cheap dragon head?  Check out one of the hobby stores like Michael's (just maybe do a quick search to see if it's one of the human-hating, policy-corrupting varieties and avoid that one if you can).  I know Michael's in particular has lots of cheap "toy" dragons (and dinosaurs, farm animals, etc) that could be hacked up to suit your wicked desires.  The other stores probably do too.

That's a great idea! Luckily, my local Michael's is pretty friendly, so next time I'm there I'll look around a bit. Thanks for the tip!
