Magnificent paint job, both on the skin and eyes and on the smoking ember-orb!

Thanks! The orb was a fun paint and I had a few lava bomb pictures fore reference.

This is outstanding. Your careful linework really makes this pop. Great job!

Thanks! I really like dark-lining, it sort of soothing to me. Doing his scars though tested my patience. If you look closely the lining of the scars is rough but that was intended to give the scars a bit of texture.

Excellent, smooth, clean!  I love all the little details.

Thanks! Yeah, I love all the details that Izzy Included in the design and that Andy sculpted. It really gave it some character. I usually am not drawn to monster figures but this one got me hooked.

Beautiful smooth transitions there - looks just like a green tree frog. The lava bomb is a nice touch.

Beautiful work, I like everything about it. The skin blend is so smooth and the eyes and gem are outstanding.

Thanks! The eyes were a challenge as I have mostly done human eye ps up to this point and toad eyes have a lot of detail that would be difficult to do at this scale. I am glad you like the jewel as the color was a gamble. I didn’t want to bring in another color and I wanted to use the red on something else, not just the cloth. Even while painting it I wasn’t sure it would work until I painted on the reflection dot. Finished, I love it and it may be the best jewel that I have done.

To complement my Ent I wanted to sculpt a small toad man. None of yhe available miniatures really fit the bill, so I started from  scratch.

After bulking out the body with greenstuff and milliput (to make it less bendy)  I made good progress with the skin texture. The combination of micro beads, poppy seeds and super glue applicator tube produced a really nice warty skin texture.

Next are the arms and legs. He will be a plain toad, only a hand weapon will be added inspired by Polynesian arms.

Recently finished this lovely mini from Dark Sword. Toyed with a few ideas but the winter theme ended up being the one that stuck. I wish I had had more time to spend on it but I am happy with how she turned out.

Started this as a PC but the game went nowhere so he sat on my desk for quite some time.  finally got around to finishing him and thought i would share.  He's quite well detailed and has a lot of character I might get another one to try in a different color but that will be another day.  Hope you enjoy him

Sculpted by Patrick Keith.  Having fun experimenting with yellow shading and GW Contrast paints.  No basing yet, all my stuff is packed.

This was an exercise in improvisation. People like to use the google hangouts to have painting sessions. But, all my painting stuff normally lives in the next room away from the computational machine. But some of it had gotten waylaid and dropped off in the wrong room so I decided to see if I could manage something. @knarthex was in the hangouts painting tiny CamelFlag patterns on tiny NATO troopers at the same time.

Here is Galladorn getting a bath in Simple Green diluted with water. The plastic bag is the type I use mostly for sorting Miniatures. File this under: how to mess with gooey-green cleaners and stuff near expensive equipment.
Next he got buried in paper towels to dry off.
