Question: are we posting all our pix to this thread? ( That sounds like fun to me... @Crowley ? was that the plan?)

You thought there was a plan, and not just a tipsy post on a Sunday night?

But yeah, that sounds like a plan. Don't tell anyone that wasn't the original idea. :poke:

I've got some ideas for dinner of these prompts.

And I should be drawing more.

It won't all be ink, but I'm in.

I tried to do these things twice now, I really dislike it, personally. I love the idea, I have a ton of ideas, but I'm not into illustrative work and stuff I do tends to be 3+ hours, so the time commitment gets ridiculous, quickly.

One of the odd things I've learned in my art journey is that I'm not an artist. I don't really approach art like anyone in my "rl" art circles, at almost any level. So I stopped trying and just enjoy doing my own thing.

I am an artist and your self description does not compute.

Art pens inventoried and set up. Sketchbook pawing at the ground in anticipation. Assorted drawing pads assembled. Old photography and natural history magazines* mildly shuffled through.

I might be ready for this. ^_^

*I have a small collection for reference and inspiration, including random National Geographics going as far back as 1914, and random photography magazines from 1940 on.

I can't draw to save my life, but I may try to twist some of those ideas around and apply them to miniatures. We'll see.

Been a long time since I did much 2d and what I did was mostly  impressionistic oil painting and pastels work.    My line art has never has been very satisfactory to me, but I'm not going to let that stop me this year.

We going to share here? or should we make a community thread in the WIP or Contests forums?

This is Reaper's Elise the Witch.
      SKU. 02863 ( Metal Figure)

Once she was part of a big Halloween Diorama but that didn't survive the move.
I was able to save the minis though.

I rebased her, gave her some highlights/ repainted parts.
She's back in action now, ready to turn you into a frog or a willing servant.

I’m not usually big on terrain painting, but I thought this would be a good cap off for my month of spoooooky minis..

Welcome to Getting to Know You, NOVEMBER 2020 Edition.

The rules as they currently stand ( we all know most of you rebellious lot will ignore most of it, but one can try)

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one...
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 8:00 hours and 12:00 hours CET. ( Central European Time)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me...
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions will usually take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
