Day 6: "In The Walls," a tribute to an awesome Mage: The Ascension game I'm playing in. (These are not characters from the game.)

Yes, it's West Berlin, spring 1989! Dark forces are heating up and the big-haired, good-hearted mages of the city have to team up against spooooky antagonists and the Cold War!

Why yes, I always did want to be on the Real Ghostbusters team, why do you ask?

This is about 5x8 on a (160g paper) sketchbook page. Sharpie pens again.

I am trying to catchup on posting and finishing things. I am not going to post them to Instagram until I can do them in order there. But day 4 got done on day 4. Day 3 is yet to finish. Day 5 Build just got started.

Day 5 is: Build

Nothing much to see here...yet. Therefore the spoiler tags.

I should be working on 6 :: Husky.

Busy weekend. Catching up. I suck at drawing people, but there was no way I was going to not draw subzero and elsa for freeze.

  I'm not even sure where one would start.  this would have to interpreted by a talented concept artist first.  I have a good imagination, but not that good.

So, @TaleSpinner said this in response to me saying I'd love to see some monsters from the mythological Greek Titanomachy in Bones. I'm not exactly a "talented concept artist," but I'm going to give it a go, just for funsies. I thought this thread might be full of like-minded (or at least similarly-minded) folk, so here's my supplemental challenge for inktober, for any who care to join me:

To be posted on 31 October (or later, let this be fun instead of under-deadline), provide a sketch that could be used by a sculptor to create a miniature of Campe, one of the dragons of the Titanomachy. Here is a description of the creature, translated from the original ancient Greek of Nonnus' "Dionysiaca:"

"Zeus ruling in the heights destroyed highheaded Kampe (Campe) with a thunderbolt, for all the many crooked shapes of her whole body. A thousand crawlers from her viperish feet, spitting poison afar, were fanning Enyo to a flame, a mass of misshapen coils. Round her neck flowered fifty various heads of wild beasts : some roared with lion's heads like the grim face of the riddling Sphinx; others were spluttering foam from the tusks of wild boars; her countenance was the very image of Skylla (Scylla) with a marshalled regiment of thronging dog's heads. Doubleshaped, she appeared a woman to the middle of her body, with clusters of poison-spitting serpents for hair. Her giant form, from the chest to the parting-point of the thighs, was covered all over with a bastard shape of hard sea-monsters' scales. The claws of her wide-scattering hands were curved like a crooktalon sickle. From her neck over her terrible shoulders, with tail raised high over her throat, a scorpion with an icy sting sharp-whetted crawled and coiled upon itself. Such was manifoldshaped Kampe as she rose writhing, and flew roaming about earth and air and briny deep, and flapping a couple of dusky wings, rousing tempests and arming gales, that blackwinged Nymphe of Tartaros: from her eyelids a flickering flame belched out far-travelling sparks. Yet heavenly Zeus . . . killed that great monster "

That sounds like it would take hundreds of hours to sculpt only to be bought by tens of people.

Day 7.

I ended up combining Enchanted, Octopus and Fairy for this one... I might be a little loopy now from marker fumes.

You're not wrong. Hyperbolic, maybe, but not wrong. I'd still love to have one, maybe a foot tall.

      Story
Hello, and welcome to the Foglio Portfolio!
Kaja and Phil Foglio have illustrated 117 cards for Magic: The Gathering, with their first image included in Magic's very first expansion, Arabian Nights.  Here are all of the cards they've illustrated for the game.
After being away from the game for many years, the Foglios are back to offer officially licensed Playmats and Prints of their most famous and popular Magic artwork.
The Foglio Portfolio offers you a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring your favorite Foglio art to your gaming table.
Each Playmat has the following features:
Premium Stitched Edge - A brand new offering from UltraPro, each mat will have high quality stitching around every edge, ensuring that your Playmat will last a very long time. Limited Edition - We will never be reprinting any of these Playmats with a stitched edge, ever again.  This is your only opportunity, ever, to get this artwork on a stitched playmat. (Playmats are printed in units of 50, so we'll print to demand, but no more than the closest unit of 50.) Signed by the Artist - Phil and Kaja will be hand signing each and every playmat. Minimal Logos - We've worked with UltraPro and Wizards of the Coast to minimize the impact of their logos as much as we possibly can. If you don't see your favorite piece of Foglio art in the options above, don't fret!  Additional Playmats will be unlocked through Stretch Goals.
If we meet all of our initial Stretch Goals, Backers will be able to vote for additional designs.  The design with the most votes will be added to the project.

Inspired by the weekend question, I took some pictures of the army thus far and found that posting it in the question thread would be excessive, also that I didn't have an ongoing thread for my largest painted army so here it is. The plan is to get my Shelf of Incompleteion cleared off then work on reinforcements for this alongside my Old School Undead army.

Here we have the Pumpkin construct unit led by a Storybook Witch from Old Glory. I have 3 more of her, but the bag only came with the one flight stand and the Reaper ones I have don't fit, when I get around that, they'll form their own unit. Behind her is Rotpatch, and the scarecrow is hanging out with these guys until I can get a couple more. The constructs are filling the slot of core infantry.

Here is a Ral Partha Witch leading the Pumpkin Knight heavy infantry consisting of the Halloween Knight and converted Barrow Wardens.

Willow Greenivy leading the skeletal Pumpkin Guard. 10 newer GW skeletions and a variety of Reaper Bones.

Elise with the Pumpkin Chucker and some Bones skeletal archers providing ranged support.

A female Necromancer and the Etherial Legion of ghosts and wraiths.

An Iconic Witch, Pumpkin Spider, and friends.

A converted Brettonian Sorceress with the skeletal heavy infantry. Basically, what happens when adventurers irritate the witches.

      Bats, wolves, and allied vampires.

      Another vampire and werewolf allies.

Zombies, ghouls, and another Reaper Witch.

Beastmen and hell hounds with an infernalist witch.

I finally finished this project! This was a mini I got a forgotten number of years ago with an order during October. Being as this is a more modern vibe the first thing that came to my mind first is: Make her a neon Witch! This was such a joy to paint. It was my first real attempt at osl and sheer fabric. I used quite a few reaper paints but I will give you the main ones that pulled of the effects that I wanted. If you have other question feel free to ask and I will share with you what I used/did.
      Dominant paints used:
      Punk rock pink 09286
      Marid blue 89526
      Clear magenta 09098
      Regal purple 09238
      Clear purple 09099
      Nightmare black 09280
      Fair skin 09047
      Dark elf skin 09164
      Pure black 09037
      Pure white 09039
Let me know what you think!

      AUGH! The Great Pumpkin Came!

This was my entry in a painting league at another  miniatures forum.

In reference to the longstanding Peanuts theme of Linus sitting alone in the Pumpkin Patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to come bringing gifts, Santa Claus-style.

It's a pity for him that Halloween is all about the scary...and the Great Pumpkin probably is not a very nice being.

The miniatures are all by Reaper, the fences are from Mantic's Kings of War Vanguard terrain. I found the simplicity of the fences really helped to sell the story here. As one of the commenters in the LPL-post stated: "Less is more".

Lots more pics, but yah gotsa clicks!
