CMON Time Machine

Recommended Posts

Yeah, it's getting rid of old stock (isn't it against KS TOS to sell already finished product?). But the conditions are incredibly bad ... Not Europe-Friendly, shipping from US ... and if you already have Rising Sun, Green Horde and Blood Rage, but are interested in - for example - Song of Fire and Ice, you pledge 1 dollar and have to wait 48 hours longer than people who buy a full pledge. In that time, most of the limited stuff will be gone, especially as everybody who gets in is "limited" to FIVE copies of each (as far as I understood). Ebay scalpers will have a field day.

If you're in the US, and want any of the vault stuff then $1 to gamble it will still be there isn't a bad deal (especially if they don't really know whats there, as I wouldn't be surprised if the PM has stuff added periodically as the find more boxes of stuff)…. or your in a country where you've got a high personal threshold for paying import taxes

but if your in most of the rest of the world then it's a lot less of good thing as you're going to have to pay to import the stuff yourself (so for me in the UK i'll need to pay 20% extra +£8 minimum)

So i'm in for now but I suspect i'm just giving them a $

Nope. I've seen some KS where they add digital content as an excuse to sell existing product.

Can't wait for October 1st.

I thought KS TOS also prohibit just selling your old stuff?

I'd presume that's the actual reason they're doing those artbooks and soundtracks. That alone makes the project comply to the letter of the KS law, even though it very obviously isn't in the spirit thereof.

They now have changed a couple of things:

- if you have backed some of their projects before and only pledge 1$, you do not have to wait 48 hours to get into the Time Vault

- it's now a limit of 1 per person on certain rare things / things in high demand.

It begs the question: have they lost their touch with base? Why not apply those rules from the start? Why risk such a huge uproar? Did they really think they'd get away with it?

I played Massive Darkness. You're not missing anything. <_<

The miniatures are great for boardgame plastic, but that's about it. I do use the orcs and goblins as proxies in Gloomhaven, because finding a set of archers, warriors, and shamans is otherwise a pain.

It wasn't a bad game. My group played about 4 times. It was fun. We did stumble on a character/gear combination that was really broken looking.  We couldn't find anything in the rule book, and initially found conflicting arguments on the web. after about 30 minutes of the game coming to a halt for us to look it up, we eventually did find an official ruling and we were in fact doing it wrong. (I dont remember the specifics but one player got a relic thing that let them do damage anytime they entered a square to all enemies... It did damage to all enemies... and the damage amount basically killed all enemies in teh square... The character had an ability that let them move out of squares with enemies and move into a new square... So the player moved into a zone. Killed all the enemies, then moved to another zone and killed all the enemies their too. So, all the bad guys were getting insta-killed and that player was getting lots of loot and xp... Once that was resolved the game got back on track.

I have not been interested in CMON games in a while. Still like the minis. If i thought it would be worth the effort, I would sell Zombicide ,1 2 and 4, as well as the Others, Blood Rage, (and while not CMON) would also sell Conan and Mythic Battles Pantheon.

Edit: Would probably only keep Zombicide Black Plague/Green Horde and Massive Darkness.

      About
Welcome to our latest Kickstarter release: Wood Elves
A collection of wood elf miniatures that will continue to grow after the completion of this project. So let us know what else you want to see. We may even squeeze a few more miniatures into this campaign!

Artist (Dan Jack): "This was quite an exciting project to work on.  I have always pictured wood elves to be more feral and slightly darker than modern interpretations. The horns for me, are a way of depicting an elder, in an otherwise young looking race. As the elves become more integrated with the forest, they start to develop horns, which are seen as a nod to their stature with in the force. You will see some of the leaders with horns. This in turn, is a foundation we will be building into the narrative of our game. The death of an elf works in both directions. As they come closer to death and old age, you shall see a more warped by the forest aesthetic. I am looking forward to pushing this further with characters in the expansion of this range, as well as more young'uns."
Please note that the items that are shown in black are a guaranteed addition to box sets. They will be revealed as stretch goals to generate excitement!

      Shipping Date:  APRIL 2020
If you don't want the full box set, you can build your own custom order, by adding up the value of the items you want, and then pledge that amount in the 'build you own pledge' reward. You will get to pick and choose what you want in the pledge manager using your credit.
