Moderator TaleSpinner Posted October 1, 2019 Moderator Share Posted October 1, 2019 Bw-HaHaHaaaaa...You are all once again in my clutches; I mean my caring and capable quisitorial hands. The rules as they currently stand: Forget the rules, y'all usually do anyway. Here's the rundown for this month: Every week day, I will post a question by 10:00 am Reaper Time (AKA, Central Time). Should I be unable to post a question for the day, one of the other quisitors will post one in my stead. Weekend questions will take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday, since I am seldom able to post on weekends. Answer the question if you want to, or not. If you are away for a while, feel free to batch them up and answer multiples. Really, just have fun. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me. I'll post the first question in a few minutes. 4
Doug Sundseth
Well, if we can answer in batches and suggest future questions, I really don't see a problem with answering future questions: Chartreuse Caboose. 1

Interim answer: artists use cosmic scales for time, so fractions of a second have passed, and therefore, we have not passed by this "a few" threshold for time. /purple 2 1 5

ReaperCon. It was really great to see people, teaching classes was fun, and the weather was even less horrific than last year. 1 minute ago, TaleSpinner said: Bonus Poll: Should I refrain from Bones V related questions? Probably. Everything else here is going to revolve around Bones V for the whole month, so I don't think adding more will be as interesting as talking about something else.

Bonus Poll: Should I refrain from Bones V related questions? Probably ReaperCon. Aside from that, it was a stress filled season. But ReaperCon was an oasis of fun relaxation where I got to hang out with awesome people, play a ton of D&D, paint a little, shop too much, and enjoy multiple wonderful brews. Bring on the Bones V questions! (alternatively, add bonus B-V-Qs as the mood takes you)
Dilvish the Deliverer
ReaperCon for me as well. For many of the same reasons that Crowley mentioned. I am ambivalent on the Bones questions.

Each year, at least until high school, the dread "what did you do last Summer" essay loomed over the first few days of the return to school. I never could come up with a decent story even then. 7 1
Loim
ReaperCon was the highlight of the summer for me Yes, refrain from Bones IV, it's going to be blowing everything else up anyway.

Bonus Poll: Should I refrain from Bones V related questions? Lots of little things made this a good summer. Plenty of hiking around the place, my garden was really good this year, taught a 4 year old rude hand gestures, got to go to all my favorite festivals. Kind of sad all that being outdoors is coming to a close until next year. Bones V questions? Ask away.
Moderator TaleSpinner Posted October 1, 2019 Author Moderator Share Posted October 1, 2019 As is my usual, I'm going to give three answers because I have issues with decision making: ReaperCon; this seems obvious, but it is the one thing I look forward to all year, have a blast while I am there, then immediately start looking forward to next year on the drive home from TX. Getting Z-Brush and learning to sculpt digitally. I was very hesitant about it and still have issues with some of the limitations (mostly those imposed by the state of 3D printing technology, not actual digital sculpting), but now that I have learned the basics and have a couple sculpts under my belt, I love the medium and can't wait to try 3D printing and casting my own pieces. I built a water feature:

Your experience with Lost Wax casting will be very handy here. Apparently, Lost PLA and Lost Resin casting is a thing. I found myself going down a Youtube rabbit hole and would very much like to try my own hand at it.

Yeah, but the Resin that works the best for casting is not cheep. $300 for a 1 liter bottle. Still, my stuff is small...
