October 15: Have you any phobias?

(This question inspired by various reactions to a certain spider being unlocked right now.)

I don't like bugs, spiders, etc, but not to the point of really freaking out. Not a fan of needles, but I deal with bloodwork and such pretty well. Not a fan of being alone at home in the dark, but I make it by. I'm not really sure what to define as an actual phobia.

October 16: What hobby related thing(s) are you working on (pics please)?

Trying to get a little bit done on painting, but I sadly don't have any photos at the moment.

October 17: How long is you hair?

I've been rocking a mullet since my childhood in the 80s. At the moment, the party in the back gets to about the middle of my lower back.

October 18: Have you ever experienced VR (virtual reality) or AR (augmented reality)?

Weekend Quest:

October 19-20: Try something new then tell us about it, or better yet show us.

I did a bit of VR in a training class at work a few months back. I was supposed to be watching some video scenes, but I was busy looking around at the overall 360 world, and noticing the areas where the seams didn't quite meet up.

I had to give up on the notion of finding some new place to go Nosh on food. Didn’t pan out for yesterday. Just not hungry enough for that today.

That leaves trying something new art wise. I decided on drawing backwards. Usually I start at the middle, with whatever will be the center of interest, Using very fine tip pens. Then I work outward. Bold outlines get added. Background gets filled in ‘round the edges.  But this time, like Dr Doolittle said, “ strike that! reverse that..! “

I am starting with the big thick, bold outlines first, adding the background next, using the biggest pens...

...wish me luck.
