(This question inspired by various reactions to a certain spider being unlocked right now.) I don't like bugs, spiders, etc, but not to the point of really freaking out. Not a fan of needles, but I deal with bloodwork and such pretty well. Not a fan of being alone at home in the dark, but I make it by. I'm not really sure what to define as an actual phobia. I was supposed to be watching some video scenes, but I was busy looking around at the overall 360 world, and noticing the areas where the seams didn't quite meet up.
TGP
I had to give up on the notion of finding some new place to go Nosh on food. Didn’t pan out for yesterday. Just not hungry enough for that today. On 10/18/2019 at 7:39 AM, TaleSpinner said: Weekend Quest: October 19-20: Try something new then tell us about it, or better yet show us. That leaves trying something new art wise. I decided on drawing backwards. Usually I start at the middle, with whatever will be the center of interest, Using very fine tip pens. Then I work outward. Bold outlines get added. Background gets filled in ‘round the edges. But this time, like Dr Doolittle said, “ strike that! reverse that..! “ I am starting with the big thick, bold outlines first, adding the background next, using the biggest pens... ...wish me luck.

Probably pumpkin muffins. Pumpkin pie is either okay, or "what on earth were they thinking??!?" to me, although I've had some slices that were enjoyable, but I'm a lot more inclined to have apple pie, or lemon meringue!
Loim
I like pumpkin quite a bit. Pumpkin soup is pretty good. Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin cake. My favorite is pumpkin pie or baked pumpkin cheesecake.

I can't think of anything involving pumpkin other than pie or maybe a soup, so I guess I like them? Why don't we have a shrug emoticon? 4

Pumpkin pie, especially warm with ice cream or whipped cream, is SPLENDID. I like pumpkin bread as well, AND Cap'n John recently picked up some little pumpkin iced cup cakes which were OUTSTANDING. Pumpkin spiced stuff is pushing the flavor for me, but then different stroke & all that. Over do it & the Pumpkin Heads will get you: 5 2

I tried using glow in the dark paint for the first time this weekend. I used it on a little obelisk from Hammerlot Games below to see if it actually worked. Then I tried it on a bigger scenery piece that's posted over in the show off thread. Here's the first attempt. 47 minutes ago, TaleSpinner said: October 21: Do you like foods containing pumpkin (real pumpkin, not just pumpkin spice) and if so, what is your favorite? Pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup... I can't decide. It's all so good.

I don't remember ever trying real pumpkin in my whole life, it's just not part of the cuisine I grew up with. Even in-store pumpkin desserts are quite uncommon. Considering that I like butternut and spaghetti squash (and recently bought a buttercup and acorn squash), I may actually like pumpkin.
klarg1
1 hour ago, TaleSpinner said: October 21: Do you like foods containing pumpkin (real pumpkin, not just pumpkin spice) and if so, what is your favorite? I like pumpkin pie. I have enjoyed a variety of squash dishes which would definitely work with pumpkin, but I am not 100% certain that counts. I don't think I can claim pumpkin is a favorite food for me, but it's definitely OK.
ManvsMini
1 hour ago, TaleSpinner said: October 21: Do you like foods containing pumpkin (real pumpkin, not just pumpkin spice) and if so, what is your favorite? No. The only thing I'll eat are pumpkin bars, which my mom makes. Turns the squishy pumpkin consistency into a cake, with raisins, lots of cinnamon and topped with a cream cheese frosting (also the only way I eat cream cheese). I can only eat a bit at a time though.
Inarah
2 hours ago, TaleSpinner said: October 21: Do you like foods containing pumpkin (real pumpkin, not just pumpkin spice) and if so, what is your favorite? Yes. I usually make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. I also have a recipe for a killer pumpkin pecan cake. I like pumpkin in chili, too. I've done pumpkin soup, but wasn't a fan of it plain. (A friend makes an excellent butternut soup, though) I did pumpkin salt caramel once, thought it was good but nobody else did. That was before salt caramel became a thing. I strongly dislike pumpkin spice seasoning and anything that uses it.
