It is the Julie Guthrie dragon bust from Reaper, the resin version. Not much to show. I am going to get another from the kickstarter because I realized something. I could use it as a figurehead on a scratchbuild ship. Say for instance a rather OTT Viking drakkar -OR- my own scratchbuild version of the Dawn Treader.

Much like everything else I "paint" I have a acquired 1 (or more....can't recall and it/they are packed) busts (something(s) steampunkish from Infamy) but had not even unpacked them from whatever they came in before packing them in a larger box for the move (it was only 2 or 3 years they sat on a shelf....) I would like to try some once I get back to painting regularly. I expect I'll snag the ones from the Bones V, as they will be great to learn/practice on the larger scales with.

I painted a bust ONCE (in 2015) and it turned me into a portrait artist! Just say no to busts! (unless you want to be a portrait artist!) 10 1

I haven't, although I own a copy of "The Grudge", and the resin dragon bust from RCon 2017. (Coming soon to BONES!) They're on the list.
Zink
4 hours ago, TaleSpinner said: October 23: Do you paint busts? Show us if you have. Nope and don't plan to. I don't do so well on the larger stuff and don't think I'd enjoy it. Seeing as I have sooooo many minis I do want to paint on hand there's not much interest. Maybe someday.

I have not painted any of them... yet. 3 hours ago, TGP said: My paternal grandmother liked to make lemon chess pie. By some unknown alchemy she would juice 8 lemons and incorporate that much lemon juice in the pie filling. Her lemon pies were LEMON pies; bite into one and they’d bite you back. Just the way my dad liked them. None of her granddaughters have succeeded in replicating her pie; that much lemon juice tends to make the filling soupy (I’m told). Lemon curd. Bet you about /anything/ she made lemon curd, or something very, VERY like it. 9

Was that offered as a limited production item at RC 2018, like the resin Murkillor this year? I missed the Murkillor because they were gone when I arrived, but then got one when they appeared on the reaper site. I want to make sure I don’t miss a chance to get something to like this that they might sell next year.

A couple, great fun but they do take a lot of time to do well. And take up a lot of shelf space.
