Reaper Bones 5: Information Thread

Super noob here. Never done a Kickstarter and just saw the Bones 5 maybe a week ago. I assume that I can't do it now, even at increased pricing, so will all the figures become available through retail eventually? I really have no idea how this works. (I am also kicking myself that I didn't get in on this at the time, it's amazing. Bones 6 in the works?)

The goal of the Kickstarter is to get the molds produced to get these items to retail, and the backers get first dibs at lower cost. Most figures will eventually get to retail. but sometimes it takes a while (well over a year). Some figures also don't work out quite as expected, and don't make it past the Kickstarter; they won't get to retail. That's unusual, but has happened - typically for larger more complicated ones.

Because of some of the needs of this particular Kickstarter run, Reaper has opened a Super Late Pledge Manager. Many of the items from Bones V are available in there, at a higher price than original Kickstarter, but lower than retail price, and they should get to you in approximately 6 months.

Chances are that Reaper will run a Bones VI sometime in the future, but we don't know when. Often it coincides with the end of ReaperCon historically. You'll be waiting 18mo-2yrs for your items, but they will get to you!

The Bones 5.5 Pledge manager has opened up and will be open for another 87 days! Eventually items will come to retail and our normal catalog, but we do not have a time frame of this and not all items will be released.
Pledge manager = Pm.reapermini.com

Really! That's fantastic. Going there now.

Weren't they supposed to announce the PM reopening on the kickstarter? They said it should go live on the 7th but would announce when it did.

I will let Ron know, I think he is getting a splash screen ready with instructions/info. ETC

Ah it looks like to use it I'd have to make a second pledge manager account which is just a little more effort than I want to try an do to see if anything I missed is even available.  Ah well. I'll just wait for regular retail on those (unless some leftovers show up in the store again.)

Once your original order ships you can go back in with that email and create a new order.  So I'm told.  I'm waiting on the container.

I think they clarified this tonight on reaper live and said you had to make a new account due to the fact the PM was NOT designed to be used in this way.

Yes, 100% unless you are one of the 2,000 or so backers who never locked in your original order, you must create a new account in the pledge manager. They were hoping to make it work so that you could use the same account after your pledge shipped, but unfortunately that was going to create too much room for error in the database.

Also, they do NOT expect that any items will be turned off before the 90 days are up.

Mine shipped over a week ago, and is still locked.   They have changed what shows, however...

I'd say my opinions about it here, but I've already been barked at strongly and unnecessarily aggressively in other areas so I'll just shrug and get the things that I want the most at retail.  Waiting also won't have a massive bill waiting for a UPS Standard box either.

My biggest issue is not the fact I cannot use my e-mail, but that they removed all the pictures so we can no longer  see what we are getting. Yes, I know we can look on the kickstarter page, BUT that doesn't show ANY of the power-ups or the bonus mini's in some of the expansions. @Reaper_Jonor @Reaper Ron, any chance we can get a page showing all the stuff, like we had in bones 4?

That's.... Whuh?  Even more confusing to me, so it would rank as second most annoying.

Are you talking about a NEW account or one that was from the original kickstarter? Yes, the NEW account shows pictures of everything available, but the original pledge manager account does not. Can that be rectified?

Oh and just a suggestion so you don't catch more unnecessary grief about it, BUT @Reaper Ronand @Reaper_Jon you MAY want to have the banner on the reapermini page say "Near Kickstarter prices" or something along those lines, otherwise I can almost guarantee someone will give you grief over what it currently says..

Pixies, Wyrms, Demonicity – Three Mini Role-Playing Games

Three ready-for-adventure mini-game boxed sets for your RPG game night, featuring the Tri-Stat System used in BESM Fourth Edition RPG.

If you're looking for role-playing games that are concise enough to crack open and start playing right away, yet sufficiently robust and evocative to support longer campaign play as well, you've come to the right place.

Welcome to the Kickstarter for the first three Tri-Stat System Mini-Game Boxed Sets – a new line of compact and complete role-playing adventure games that are compatible with Dyskami Publishing's flagship BESM Fourth Edition anime and manga RPG. Tri-Stat System creator Mark MacKinnon has distilled and customised the complete system into distinct streamlined versions for each of the three adventure games – targeting their specific genres and background settings in easy-to-understand boxed sets.

Pixies, Wyrms, and Demonicity – it's time for your next great role-playing adventure!

Pixies, Wyrms, and Demonicity – These boxed set RPGs are games of adventure, exploration, battle, heroism, romance, and imagination. Yet unlike in a traditional board game, the possibilities for exploration and action in these role-playing game are endless.

Each of the three role-playing adventure games contains the following components:

a 32-page full-colour rulebook that gives your group everything you need to play, with sections on character abilities, magical spells/paranormal powers, weapons and equipment, enemy encounters, items and equipment, and guidelines for integrating the Tri-Stat System game with the compatible BESM Fourth Edition RPG
6 brief story scenarios so you can start playing adventures right away
6 pre-generated player character sheet handouts, with game stats and illustration
4 custom-etched dice specific to that boxed set

You can pledge for one, two, or all three of these boxed sets during the Kickstarter.

      ...

I know know nothing about these creators or the system, but I decided to back for Pixies entirely because of that picture of the corgi. 👀
