Wizkids Deepcuts Shark

Recommended Posts

I decided to do the shark too. I'll post to where I've completed but still lots to do. So much that I've given up on my whale shark plans.

This is photographing way better than it looks in person. 20191008_150432.thumb.jpg.5e42f71981e57a81dcc711158c86b38b.jpg

Then I did turquoise ink on the clear plastic and ashen blue and vgc glacier blue and turquoise ink wash on shark.

Then I started working in rubber /highlight and teal ink and spectral glow for the whale shark markings.

Now I've added a bit more rubber on the top

I went whale shark. Amethyst purple and spectral glow and medium. I might have to go over stuff again depending how many more dark coats I do on the top.

Spots top and sides, then add lines.

Some teeth( creamy ivory), more mouth ( pale flesh highlights) and eyes (blue liner outline with glacier blue dot).

Here's where things stand dry fit. I need a bit more dry brush foam, but not sure what else. Pretty happy with today's additions. Thoughts?

I love the whaleshark pattern ( although a whale shark is a plankton eater and will not have such teeth) it does make the shark stand out!

Love that mouth!

So. I decided to try and make some ponds... Maybe with other water features.
I have 2 silicone mats and several hot glue guns. I used both and used a fondant roller to flatten things out.
I'm going to try a few things. This is about 1-1.5in x 2+in

Had an idea about having some sort of drow captain with a trained giant spider as a bodyguard for an upcoming session. I already had Reaper's Dark Elf Elite and the wizkids spider and I figured they would work well together. I ended up really liking the combination, may have to get a few more of those spiders.

This is the thread where I'll paint my Dreadmere stuff to go with new Bones V stuff when it arrives.
I started with my extra Gulper ( 44038 ) and rowboat (Dreadmere Fishing Boat 44032 ).
starting with Gulper inspiration - the redtail catfish.

This wip is far along. I had to rewash laundry late (and stay up late enough to put stuff in the drier).
Started with a coat of Corporea black, then pure black on the barrel, and wood got mahogany. I debated painting stuff like the stuff at the military college (chassis painted grey) but I felt it would be boring. So I'm painting it in other boring colors. I haven't painted wheels yet. These would be better bought prepainted, because they're pretty inaccessible.
