One of the glues I picked up was JB Weld Superweld glue. It's one of those UV activated super glues. Hopefully that one will work, if not hopefully trusty Gorilla Glue will work. I stopped using GG mainly cause of some issues I having with it with the super glue accerator & went with BSI. Hopefully one of them works. Totally spaced off one of the elves has a Bag of tricks magic item, so I randomly rolled what 3 critters the elf could pull out. I ended up finding the critters on thingiverse - Mia Kay creations.
haldir
So overlooking my 2 new adventures I got over the weekend, I noticed the Winter Sale still is going on at MMF, hmmmm do I get the stls now or later whenever I do run these two. Since they are both oddball-ish adventures, ones I won't run for quite awhile. Thou one is for 15th level adventures. Might be a good adventure to capstone the Saltmarsh game when it comes to an end. That adventure has high level alien wizards with see through skulls & a single eyeball. They are humanoid in shape & size thou vs intelligent large size spiders.
haldir
As I noted in the Randomness thread, JB Weld Superweld with the UV light is perfect for assembly Sunlu resin prints! 3
Glitterwolf
Question, I want to print some terrain on my Elegoo Mars. This has a flat surface, will it work to print it directly on the build plate or do I need to use supports and rise it from the plate? In other words, will this work?: Comments/thoughts? Will this damage the FEP or will it work?
Auberon
If you plan to hollow it I would go ahead and raise it. The drain holes will help reduce suction. 2

Thanks, I'm still thinking about that. They aren't that big, so maybe I'll keep them solid.

Will this damage the FEP or will it work? Printing these solid shouldn't be an issue. It'll use a lot of resin, the second and third you could probably save a third to half of the weight by printing hollow, but that does come with the issue of needing to raise it up for the vent holes... Usually you'll see advice to raise it and turn it, since long smooth areas MOSTLY parallel but not quite to the build plate have a tendancy to badly show voxelization, but there looks to be enough texture on these that won't show, and you're not going to get better build plate adhesion with the support bases than those large flat areas already will give you. The large areas of contact on that first one wouldn't produce any more FEP wear than the supports to hold it would, and it's not thick so you'll be past it before suction forces should become TOO much of a problem. 1

TheAuldGrump
Just a bit of amusement - I am considering the Gamescape 3D Tribes, and ran across this in the description of their welcome box - Rescaled to fit modern Reaper Bones minis (18% Larger) The Auld Grump 2

I pick and choose, though. They're great. 1
TheAuldGrump
That moment when you are considering a tank for a Not-Imperial-Guard army, then realize that the all female tank crew are wearing swimsuits.... So close to being a one stop purchase for an entire army... but, well, unless Megan is intersted, I just don't see us getting an army that includes female ogryn in fishnet blouses.... (No, not showing the image.) Sign of age - it took me a while to notice the swimsuit wearing tank crew... and longer to notice the name of the line. (Pinup Corps.) The tanks - very nice. The figures, lots of variety, plenty of weapon options. But... ... ... so, danged close. The Auld Grump 3
WhiteWulfe
Finally got to order from Matter3d... Now to just impatiently wait for the "it's shipped!" email. Going to try out their ABS, and I hope their orange is as nice as the various photos I've seen of it

Don't get me wrong, I'm not "anti-pinups" they just usually aren't for me. Also, with all of the cheesecake on display in that campaign, I just don't understand one thing... Why Hippos?

I really, REALLY like those female ogres in fishnet tanktops. Not joking, really, either. Those are Shadowrun PC material!
