haldir
After a bit of a lull in printing, back to printing grey minis. At least when switching back to colored resin, you don't need to really clean out the vat, ha ha. I really couldn't find allot of things I wanted in just clear resin. I guess I can always print that later if needed. Oddly, I can't find a sliced file containing a AG owlbear. I guess I must not have saved the file & I had a overnight update or something. Easy to slice again, just can't recall what I had with it.
Olaf the Stout
For clear resin I’ve got a tonne of spell effects, oozes and elementals I want to print. Just Google pics of the prepainted D&D minis for inspiration of what would work well in clear resin.
WhiteWulfe
It begins, ahhh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... LDO Voron 2.4 Rev 2 350mm kit (apparently Rev B, Batch 4 from LDO by the serial). Took a while to inventory things, especially the six bajillion machine screws.
lowlylowlycook
Started up my resin printer again basically to print out the Saurian Starhost minis I bought from OnePageRules. Seems to be working pretty well. If I wanted to start using my second build plate, what should I use to zero it in? I managed to lose the bit of thick paper that they said to use in record time.
Olaf the Stout
I just use 2 pieces of printer to level my bed. 2
Auberon
I've just used regular ol' copy paper on both of my resin printers and it works fine.

And wow, the supports on these space lizards are just a joy to remove. When I've had to adjust the auto supports things got printed but you can tell the difference between that a pro job.
Auberon
Yes. I've long ago thrown away the packaging, but I assume it is the standard 20lb bond.

IIRC, Phrozen just tells you to use a piece of sheet paper (aka printer paper) to do the leveling. I cut mine down so it would fit between the vat screws but overall it's the same thing. Nice thing about resin printers is once you've got the plate leveled & set, you're done with it. About the only time you'll need to re-level is when you change out the LCD panel & when you're trying to diagnose a problem that might be related to leveling. 4
haldir
Ughhh, did it again..... I woke up early this morning due to my wife had to go into work early, but I had set up a overnight print in the printer. I go downstairs to see the finished print & I notice the build plate, sitting in the chair near my Wash N Cure...sigh. Good thing I didn't need the print right away, + not like I'm really doing anything for the next 10 days, ha ha.

Like forgetting to take the finished prints off before starting the new run, worse. 1

The sudden sound of crunching was indication there...... Hmmm, those sliced files must have been cursed or something. After re-attaching the plate & 6 hrs (again) later, nothing on the plate & resin stuck to the NFEP.....Hmmmmmm I decided to try a faster file that I need printed, if that doesn't print correctly I will change out my NFEP. After that I have no idea what might be wrong as no settings have changed & such. I could have just printed a tester print from Phrozen, but figured eh why? I will admit the 6 hr file does have 2 large "minis" in it, so maybe they are the cause. We shall see. 1

And the print still on the plate was my homework. 1
haldir
So I took a peek at my printer, 87% on the print & it appears I've got minis coming, as I can see it through the cover. Now I wonder why that print didn't print. I got to thinking, would not mixing the resin before printing prevent it from working? I remember I didn't stir the liquid before re-attaching the plate this morning. Either way I re-sliced the file & I'll attempt it later today or tomorrow.

My original FEP got a hole last night, so I need to swap mine over. A sheet of printer paper. The cardstock that they included with the Saturn was way too thick, and caused print failures.
