Saturn 2 owners, what did you use as a spacer when changing your FEP?

My original FEP got a hole last night, so I need to swap mine over.

Like @Pezler the Polychromatic when I had my Photon Z, I just used a Gatorade cap I kept with my fep changing tool. 4k mini, it just tightens while you tighten the screws.

Oh I know what to print with clear resin, just nothing I immediately need right now.

IIRC, Phrozen just tells you to use a piece of sheet paper (aka printer paper) to do the leveling. I cut mine down so it would fit between the vat screws but overall it's the same thing. Nice thing about resin printers is once you've got the plate leveled & set, you're done with it. About the only time you'll need to re-level is when you change out the LCD panel & when you're trying to diagnose a problem that might be related to leveling.

Or if you get a Wham Bam system...

So I took a peek at my printer, 87% on the print & it appears I've got minis coming, as I can see it through the cover. Now I wonder why that print didn't print. I got to thinking, would not mixing the resin before printing prevent it from working? I remember I didn't stir the liquid before re-attaching the plate this morning.

Either way I re-sliced the file & I'll attempt it later today or tomorrow.

I shake the bottle before I fill the VAT, if it's been in the VAT too long without printing anything a slight stir might do the trick.

Resin also has an expiration date, maybe something to look for?

Yup, I do all that as well (well 95% of the time....). Doubt it's the exp date as I just picked this bottle up last month off Amazon. It's the newer style bottle that Sunlu uses now (kinda looks like  brand name motor oil bottle now). I guess it'll remain a mystery for now, as every print after has printed. I do have it re-sliced with just the mini & the base that came with it (AG's feral Asfar druid form aka owlbear with horns). I guess we'll see once I go print it.

I wasn't including any add-ons to the existing plate, but yah that too. Really thou, with my friend's settings, no need for a WB plate here. Just a plastic razor & less then 5 secs later prints are off.

I think you’re thinking of build plate levelling, not FEP changeover.

You are quite correct.

Hmmmm, my Starhost from OPR only came with plain bases instead of textured ones.  Do those only go to Patreon members?

Pretty much - though they are available separately.

We've actually started printing and using the 'official' faction game aids - measuring widgets, objective counters, everything but the dice.

So, seems my Trident has been down for a month not for a wire break, but because of a slightly loose connector on the 14 pin toolhead connector.  I'm not going to complain, as this means I can get the ball rolling on printed parts tomorrow.  Did some basic moving around and it didn't seem to misbehave, so now it's just a case of seeing if me reseating three pins that had been tugged back somewhat solved the issue.  If so, that'll make me a rather happy fox to say the least!

Went ahead & bought the Fat Dragon Lost Dungeon Starter & the first expansion. Thanks to being a previous backer of FDG Kickstarters I got some pretty good discount codes for them as well. I think both were like 8 bucks total. I'm not sure when I'll ever print anything from them, but eh if I do I'll have it.

Besides One Page Rules are there any other sculptors I should loot at for bases?

There are a bunch of free bases available. Just search the size you need & take your pick.

One, I really like is Claudio Casini Art. He has a freebie pack, but I think it's the bases he uses for his sculpts. While not free, Twin Goddess has some great one as well.
