This feels so familiar... I'm kind of dealing with that with my Trident at the moment, after all.  I'm now at the point of just yanking out the harness and replacing it to remove that as a variable, because it wasn't a loose connector, or a dying heater...  And occasionally heater just reports 0%, so it's clearly in either the harness or the toolhead pcb.... So when I get the motivation, it's remove harness, change pcb (I have a spare one), change heater, and change thermistor... But that's several hours of work, and a bunch of re-crimping too while I'm at it..

Editing to add: but if I don't do it, I won't be able to progress further on the v2 build, yaaaay.

So for now I paint >.>;;;  since I really, really wanted to paint.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues, but it’s (somewhat selfishly) nice to know that others go through similar thoughts and emotions with these things.

I'm not a tech person, so for me actually starting with 3d printing ( resin) was already quite a step.

When the time came to change the FEP film I was pretty anxious about it, watched videos etc and carefully worked my way thorugh it step by step.

So proud when it worked...

Then came the dreaded moment to actually change the LCD screen, I was really afraid that I would ruin the printer, but in the end it worked out ( thx to videos and advice from forumites).

For me such things are a bit of a hurdle to overcome.

We got a little real life problem now, a small leak somewhere so I'm trying to fix it, probably will need to call a professional, such things also give me the chills.

I know it will be fixed and alright in the end, but I'm always afraid of the worst, mainly because I have no expertise in the area, don't know what to expect etc.

Things I do know and am confident about that I can do it, no problem.

Thanks to the change out (but failure) of my lcd replacement in Photon S printer, I had the confidence when I needed to change the Phrozen mini screen, but I totally understand the feeling.

Heck,  as its been so long since I worked inside a computer, I had to look up online how to open my particular Dell case, ha ha. I almost placed a order for a hard drive holder as well as I didn't notice the HD brackets were metal & already in the case.

Yeah, I feel you with all of that. I’m similar. I’m not terrible with tech, but changing the LCD screen would intimidate me a little.

TBH, it's not that bad really. I think it's more or less putting fingers in the case & possibly damaging connections & such. I know the Chitubox connector is what I was concerned with as it was hard to pop the connector. Other then that, it's pretty simple stuff. Overall I think the whole, ok I've taken something out of my printer & put something new in it & now I'm gonna turn it back on afterwards is what I dreaded the most. Hearing the familiar start up beep was such a fantastic feeling.

Gotta love, forgetting you backed a KS for files & then remembering them & there is a bunch of stuff in there that you really want (need) to print out.

Thou, I wish MMF would tell you if you had a file if it was part of a bundle you already had. I picked up some lizardfolk earlier this year & then I just noticed they are in this bundle.

That pisses me off.  I've had that happen with some individual files I've bought that were surprise, part of a bundle I'd bought.  Like can your system be smart enough to know I own the file even if it's in a group/bundle as opposed to an individual file?

I printed up a giant robot for my Battle Sisters.

They named it the Nundam. <_<

Beautiful model, DUMB name!

Brought my resurrected Wanhao i3 to the office a couple of weeks ago. Just using it to print USB cable organisers and a clamp to hang cables under tables. Mostly to use up some of my ancient PLA spools...

So far I've had one colleague ask for something(mounts for an iPhone on a baby stroller, and a hook to hang shopping on, also on that same stroller) and got a nice, big plate of 70% dark chocolate as reward...

Can anyone think of anything useful/silly to print for office use?

Yeah, I'm trying to hook a few new enthusiasts.

Oh, and Printdry(makes of the filament dryer) is running a KS with large storage boxes capable of holding spools up to 5Kg.

(I'm slowly switching to 2Kg+ spools, so of course I backed them)

A bad pun does not make a good name.

Both the big and Baby Nundam are nice models.

The Auld Grump - Nundam is bad enough that I might have said it....

Then there is Pinup Corps - which has added several models since the campaign ended....

Well, I wanted to have everything bought & printed (if needed) by April, so I ended up picking up the remaining files on MMF, this morning. I also picked up something I may actually try & paint up for a RCon entry. Yes, me enter the paint contest for only the 3rd time.

Btw, you're welcome, Spring sale will can now commence....
