Less than $15,000 to the next goal!

Looks like unlock maybe late tonight or early tomorrow??

I thought things were picking up.  I'm surprised we haven't reached goal yet today.

I should probably walk away from here as I have been frustrated at no mention of anything sci-fi except that Ron did say there would be something. Also, there is too be nothing until Map 6, and as we are just now looking at the end of map 4, it will be another 600K plus before there is anything.

Sigh. :(

That might interest DH.  He likes the larger scale display pieces.

Yeah, I had to leave the twitch early today, hoping for some screen shots of whatever new they showed... I'm sure someone will provide eventually.

I can wait.

So you didn't get to see the robot kobolds from the cartoon?

I don't know why I'm obsessively watching this. I can't really raise my current pledge any higher until long after the KS is closed. I should just step away and not pay attention until the end, but instead I'm just hanging out here anyway..

This is one of the few good things left on the road internet. Enjoy it. Spend what you can. Enjoy the company. Help other decide, be creative and promote something that is just nice and fun. It is also a nice background activity while painting

Its a trade-off... smaller goals= less models. It will pick up soon!

Y'know, it's kinda weird; I am excited about this KS, and there's a LOT of cool stuff being made, but I just can't bring myself to babysit this one. I check it once, maybe twice a day and that's it. I've skimmed this thread, but by no means have I read every word. It's kinda whatever happens, happens.

I was thinking about this some more....now I'm worried that I may be growing up and becoming a responsible adult!

So, if I do a Facebook post with “#bones5core” that counts as one social media engagement, right?

I don’t social media much.

I think that's how it works; I don't social media much, either.

So a lot of folks have been wondering about how stretch goals compare to previous campaigns. This is a comparison of Bones 5 to Bones 4. The only reason I haven't included them here is that it took a couple hours just to do these two, and I wanted to get this posted tonight.
If there's interest I can add Bones 1 to 3 to this, and continue to update it throughout the campaign (although probably not daily -- there's probably such a thing as too many updates even for you guys.:)

Bones 5 is slightly inflated in this reputation by having its social goals split up instead of as a single set (Small World Heroes) and by including single minis with its base goals. As a result, Bones 5 has more single-mini additions to the Core Set, but Bones 4 had some of those too.

As of this time, we've unlocked 23 "real" stretch goals for the core set (that is, pledge dollar goals that unlock minis, not just bases). Bones 4 had unlocked 21 of these goals at this point. We have unlocked 5 expansions, Bones 4 had unlocked 4. We have unlocked 23 non-Expansion paid add-ons, Bones 4 had unlocked 22. Bones 4 had unlocked 6 expansion parts, Bones 5 has only unlocked 4.

(Expansion parts are sort of a weird category, because they're almost entirely ceremonial. Reaper pretty much commits to producing all the parts of an expansion when they add the first part to the PM for $50. They're not like core set goals where they could conceivably actually stay locked and not get produced -- nobody will buy a $50 expansion with only 11 minis in it, they pretty much have to finish them. Unlocking them in quarters and thirds is basically just an excuse to showcase them in three or four manageable updates instead of one huge one, and a way to insert extra stretch goals so we can hit them more often.)

In terms of total goals unlocked, Bones 4 and Bones 5 are very similar. We've had 2-3 more for most of the campaign, if we didn't let things like social goals and bases inflate Bones 5 we'd have 2-3 less. Either way, the exact goal numbers are different, but we're pretty much on the same schedule. I feel like Bones 4 spaced out goals a little better, with less at the very beginning and more in the 1mil-2mil range. But the difference is pretty small.

In the final days of Bones 4, Reaper pretty much dropped the numerical stretch goal system and just added a bunch of stuff. We can probably expect something similar at the end of this campaign. I'm expecting loads of expansion parts, this campaign's Fan Favorites, and perhaps the big pirate ship to fall into that category, and be unlocked without first being announced as dollar-value stretch goals in the final 2-4 days.

Perhaps most meaningfully, the core set has 133 figures right now. Bones 4 had 145 figures in the core set when it had raised this much money (maybe a little less, that number's counting some social goals that might not have been unlocked yet. The Bones 4 core set was $20 cheaper. The Bones 5 core set's still the best value per dollar in this campaign, and indeed probably in miniatures in general -- but for the folks complaining about it, there's your number. It is actually a good bit worse value than it used to be. Unquestionably.

The perception that the core set isn't getting updates is probably exacerbated by the fact that this campaign blew away 1 million dollars so quickly that almost none of the sub-1-million goals were given updates. The core set got plenty of goals early on, it was basically every other goal pretty much up to 1.5 million dollars. Since then, they've added a ton of paid stuff and basically nothing to the core except social goals.

1.5 to 2 million isn't a huge amount of the campaign in terms of dollars raised or overall numbers of stretch goals. Objectively it's only about 1/6th of the expected total and it's in the part of the campaign that always gets the fewest goals. (Early campaign gets close-together goals and day-1 momentum, the last few days get a bunch of add-ons without goals attached, but the middle of the campaign just has to struggle along.) If you just look at the numbers, it isn't huge.

But if you get your news from Reaper's updates, it would like that that was the whole campaign. It only took 5 days to cross 1.5 million, and the first million of that was all on day 1 and didn't get updates. We've been on the 1.5-2 million stretch for two weeks now, and in that time we've only seen two stretch goals for the core set. Bones 4 had five core set goals in that range, which is more, but remember that we've actually got more core set goals in total so far. They've just been conspicuously missing from the exact range we've been looking at from the past two weeks.

It might be good for Reaper to post some updates about those day-1 goals now. Some really cool stuff is currently being overlooked, and it would help break up the monotony of days where we don't hit any goals. It would definitely be good to announce some core set goals ASAP. It was quite rare in past campaigns not to have at least one core set goal coming up. We have been without one for a week!

I'm kinda right there with yah. I don't know if it's due to I didn't go to RCon this year or not but I was excited when the KS began but as the month has trudged along my interest in the journey for the KS has kinda lessened. I'm still keeping my pledge & I'll add to it Post-KS but I'm kinda looking more forward to the upcoming Wizkids Unpainted releases in the next few months. (thou that might be cause they are around the corner & they are items I can buy to support my FLGS).

First Legion 75mm Fantasy "Femmes Fatales" Resin Figure Kits
A new series of provocative 75mm Fantasy Resin Figure Kits, each one beautifully sculpted and cast and a joy to paint.
      Who We Are
First Legion has long been a leading producer of 60mm scale superbly hand painted historical metal and resin figures as well as metal and resin figures kits in various scales. We most recently expanded into 28mm Fantasy miniatures with a huge launch of amazing sculpts that will be coming to retail early next year.   Please visit our websites and social media for more information.
      First Legion Historical
      First Legion Fantasy
      First Legion Facebook
      First Legion Instagram
The theme of the series is "Femmes Fatales", beautiful but dangerous women characters. Whether by force,  guile, or seduction these ladies are not to be fussed with.    There are 7 figures in total, each one more beautiful than the next and ranging in style from Gothic, to far eastern, nomadic, northern, and even an Aztec.   The commonality to them is that they are all stunning models of beautiful, dangerous women.
Those of you who followed our 28mm Fantasy Minis Kickstarter will recognize these figures from the "Femmes Fatales" Core Set.   They were originally sculpted in 75mm scale and reduced in scale to 28mm to be included in that KS as part of our 28mm fantasy series.  We present them here as originally conceived.
Unlike our 28mm KS, which had 170+ models, this KS is purposely very simple and very succinct.    Stunning models at great prices with rewards shipping in just 3 months!
      Pledge Levels
The first 5 Figures listed below are tied to pledge levels with selections to be made in our pledge manager following funding.   The higher the pledge level, but better deal it is on each figure.
Early Bird Pledge Levels are open for the first 27 hours.
      Add-On Sets
The last two are available as an add-ons only, or as part of the "Drop Dead Gorgeous" Pledge Level.  Finally, there are three more that will be optional add-ons tied to stretch goals.
      Resin Figure Kits
All miniatures are produced in high quality resin and provided unpainted and unassembled.
      Mature Audience
The figures below contain some nudity and are not suitable for audiences under 18.
If you are offended by such figures, please stop reading and just move on.   They are purposely designed to be risqué, sexy, dangerous, and above all beautiful.

I’m interested in what people here think of this.
It seems like a great idea, but I’m wondering if there might be some unforeseen drawbacks.

      EDIT: It's live! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/oathsworn-burrows-and-badgers-anthro-miniatures-mouse-dog-cat

We love miniatures. We love tabletop games. We love anthropomorphic animals, from Disney's Robin Hood through The Wind in the Willows to Brian Jaques' Redwall books. So we combined the things we love in our Burrows & Badgers tabletop skirmish game and the accompanying range of miniatures. And our Kickstarter backers have already helped us to grow the range to over 100 miniatures - but now it's time to add some more!

      Some miniatures from previous projects...
Why are we making more miniatures?
Because we want more characters for our Burrows & Badgers games – my Freebeast warband needs reinforcements, for a start!
And we know a lot of other people are looking for more anthropomorphic animal miniatures too. A lot of people are playing Burrows & Badgers now, and many of them have asked for Massive Hounds and a Massive Raptor, so we've sculpted them! Some will want to use them for other tabletop or roleplaying games, while others love painting miniatures, and our figures are perfect for that, full of character ready to be brought to life with your paintbrush....
And some people just love collecting miniatures; again, we've made this new set of Burrows & Badgers figures perfect for collectors. They are all single piece models, with integral bases, so there are no fiddly parts to be glued on.
We love making miniatures; we hope you'll love our miniatures too.
      Why we need your help...
We've got 17 new miniatures sculpted, but they need to have moulds made before we can start producing the miniatures. And that's why we need funding; to get the production moulds made, and get the casting process started.
      About the miniatures...
There are other ranges of anthropomorphic animal miniatures out there, but ours are a little different. We didn't want all the races of animals to be the same size. Instead, we've scaled them to each other; so a shrew or a mouse is a very small model, about 20mm tall, and a really big animal like a badger will stand about 50mm tall, for example.
Each sculpted figure shown below has a scale picture with it, showing its height in millimetres. All our models are supplied unpainted.

      The Pledges
We’re keeping it as simple as possible; there’s an ‘All-in’ pledge, which gets you all the new miniatures in this Kickstarter, and any bonus bits that may come along… there’s also a ‘Pick’n’Mix’ Pledge, if you just want to get a few of the new miniatures. For the Pick'n'Mix, just total up the prices of all the miniatures you want, and pledge for that amount. There's a minimum pledge of £10. There's only six of the sculpts shown so far, but expect more to be added regularly... I'll probably add two or three a day!

      ^Minimum of £10

      Pledge Level: The Great £40

      Pledge Level: The Small £64

      Pledge Level: All In £99

-Hi everyone, this time I propose you a Fishing Village:
5 Houses   7 Footbridges  1 Bridge -A few years ago I did something similar for video games
here you can see the video: and I've thought of creating models suitable for 3D printing.
-The models are in scale for 28 mm miniatures and are divided into components to be assembled without glue only joints.
-Doors, windows, nets and winches are printed separately.
-Each house is playable inside, with working doors and on the ground floor there is a fireplace with the pipeline out.
-The prints you see below have been made with an Ender 3, layer 0.2 mm, infill 5%, Pla Geetech white, the models have been designed to have as few supports as possible, I printed them with an overhang of 80 ° -85 °, support Z distance 0,3 mm.
-I highly recommend the use of printers with a print bed of at least 20x20x20 cm (for this scale).
-Paint with cans and acrylic colors.
-Each house needs about 500-800 grams of filament.
-I put hooks scattered on the houses to attach cordage or oil lamps
-I remind you that only digital models will be sent to you, NOT PHISICAL ONES.
      * Good fishing ... *
By removing the base you can have houses for a land village.
