32 inches of playable deck area.
37 inches with the bowspirit.
9 inches wide.

I had NO power left in my Fire, and you drop THIS on me?! I have 25% and dropping, but I AM going to post!

Me, oh, my, oh, me-oh!

We have this sort of half wall between kitchen and living room, about three and a half feet tall and four feet long. Right in front of our painting table.

Right now it is covered with half painted minis, but I know what WILL be going there!

I would LOVE to see kits for customizing this beauty.

Strange to say, I have no urge to paint this baby, this has Grump written all over it, in neon markers, under a black light.

Oh, I'm all over that.

And these. Oh, my.

I may need to put off my Norse game for a tiny bit.

I can't believe it. They actually did it. Now, how many otter pirates will it take to properly handle "Sophie's Scourge"?

Let's see, 4-5 per gun, with at least 32 guns, plus ship rigged with probably 20 topotters per mast, plus marines, officers, carpenters, cook, ... and 20% more for illness and injuries.

Call it 250 or so.

Frigates were crowded.

You might not want to try to fit all of them on the model. ::D:

This.

I don't want a distinctive figurehead; I don't want a carved name. I don't want skull finials. I don't want to have to take things off to get to the basic ship.

But for the packaging, call it whatever.

name it on the box, no carved name. Multiple figurehead options: None, woman, wings and tail addable to woman.

might as well keep dreaming big!

They did specifically mention in the stream that they are planning to do detachable figureheads options, so you can swap them out.

Hubby thinks it would be good to have two of these. Just in case for ship to ship battles

Well, there's the ship everyone has been screaming for.  I just happened to remember Reaper Live was on, and stopped in the middle of making dinner to see if they'd revealed anything, and it popped up on screen. Wow!  Wonder how many parts that will come in.

And.... folks on KS are already complaining that it will cost too much and they won't pledge for it after all.

i mean, anything else of this size for the cost is going to be a pain in the tushy to put together. I’ve seen those kits. They’re more obnoxious looking than the barge decor.

Hm.  So how long after fulfillment will someone modify theirs to use 14106: Dark Maiden as the figurehead?

Is a name given for Razig's ship?

I was just wondering the same thing. I have her just waiting to be painted.

Fortunately it is easy to create sea serpents of suitable size. (I am betting that either Pingo or Pingo's Husband is familiar with this documentary...)

The Auld Grump - yes, auld. ::P:

Hey!

I saw this when it first came out!

Fond memories of my yooth.

Welp, I know what movies we are watching on Sunday night. PotC (mine!) and Master & Commander (Grump!).

I recommend Treasure Island, the 1990 version with Charlton Heston and a young Christian Bale and you've never heard of it before now because it's 'too faithful' to the book so critics didn't find it fun or light-hearted or all those things the book isn't.

Agreed. It's great. I need to get back into it.

Biggest bummer was the dude with glasses getting replaced in the second season (the first actor developed a brain tumor & died).

Archon Studio (LOAD, Vanguard of War, Chronicle X) are branching into modular terrain. The project is now Live:

Apparently it is "full plastic injection" so not the same as their minis. The concept seems interesting, but the preview page is far from finished, so it's hard to get a good grasp on prices (one "Starter Pledge" for $49 is all they currently have listed, along with a $20 add on). The whole magnetized modular wall system looks like it could have potential.

      About
Digital render of the finished sculpts. In the last six or so years I have played a lot of tabletop games, ranging from Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons to smaller games like Frostgrave and Relicblade. I have fallen in love with the hobby of painting miniatures and everything surrounding it. A year ago I made plans to give something back and to add something to this hobby community I love so dearly.
My background in digital game art helped me a lot since I was already familiar with the software to sculpt digitally. So I started working on a few miniatures I would like to produce. Most of them were abandoned in favor of better ideas, but eventually I created this set of three goblins. These goblins are each embodiments of the archetypes found in many of the games I love: the wizard, the fighter and the thief/ranger.
I spent the last year figuring out how to cast resin to the standards I saw in the products I enjoy and how to make sure digitally sculpted details translated well to the tabletop scale.
These three figures are the end result of that progress, but hopefully the start of a lot more.
I made this Kickstarter to cover the costs of the materials used and shipping, but mostly so I can bring these little goblins to your tabletop :)
All miniatures will be multiple parts cast in resin and supplied unpainted, with a 25mm gaming base.
      The final resin casts.

They drag their feet one in front the other, deliberately, slowly. They  crawl out of their resting grounds. Out of the tombs to the fresh air,  slowly, unrestained.
Scylla Models is back presenting you a new range of Villains and Undead monsters for your collection. The models we present you are master casts  white metal (primed white for better result in the pictures), with the only exception of Zuula. She on her Night Terror is our first large monster and we decided to go resin. The results are quite impressive as you might see in the picture.
