I'm not quite certain what that dead tree critter covered in fungus is supposed to be. But for me that's going to be some sort of zombie ent.

In the update it was called a “Fungal Companion”, belonging to the Dark Elf Apothecary it’s standing next to.

RE: pirate ship

Absolutely no way it comes in under a hundred bucks. I mean, right?

It'd seem like a steal at $75, to me (I'm all for it, of course). Maybe I just have a bad idea of how much plastic it's gonna take.

I am "guesstimating" between 75-100

My guesstimating for the Kickstarter backer price of the ship is between $120-$150 U.S.

Looking at the add-ons, I think to make the Acme Goblin Launcher I will use the catapult instead of the trebuchet.

That would be my guesstimate too.

Less than $13,000 to go for the Rune Wights.

Not going to hit it today. Hopefully by noonish tomorrow.

I think they are going to try very hard to keep it under the $100 point. It will sell a LOT more under a hundred than just over it. Strictly a reflex action of buyers, that will be a definite point they will be trying. Also remember that the price roughly doubles from KS to retail, so they are going to aim for under 200 MSRP.

Mal'Drakar, IIRC came in at $50 a pop, which I was astounded to have paid. Not saying the ship isn't bigger, but I could see the ship coming in more on the affordable side again. If that's the case, I'll be picking up several so I can do them in a variety of motifs.

Mal was at $60, iirc, and I was guessing up from there, w/r/t my thinking the ship will be quite a bit larger than that, to arrive at thinking it'd have to fall around a Benjamin at least.

And $100 wouldn't be terrible. I don't think.

Maybe $75 ain't crazy tho. I sold my Mal and haven't seen him in a while. But he wa'n't no three foot long.

Actually a clear ship could be just as "ghostly" as a green translucent.

In reality, yes.

In people's heads, no.

Sure, they can hit it with a green transparent paint for the same effect, but a translucent green ship will be seen as ghostly, while people will think a clear ship is invisible.

Just like people think that because something is salty and orange it must taste like cheese. <_<

I would bet that green would sell better than clear, and that an opaque model will sell better than translucent green.

If going for two colors, opaque standard Bones color and translucent green would be the best choices.

Or salty and green.

But thinking on it, I do agree with you on the colourless vs green translucent ship.

Personally I’d rather have the colourless version, but having it visibly green sitting in its box on a shelf at a retail store... That makes for some very attractive eye candy.

As much as I would love the ship, we do not have room for it.  We are already out of room for minis, but that is not stopping me from backing Bones 5, but the ship I don't think there is a way it can fit anywhere on our home.

Archon Studio (LOAD, Vanguard of War, Chronicle X) are branching into modular terrain. The project is now Live:

Apparently it is "full plastic injection" so not the same as their minis. The concept seems interesting, but the preview page is far from finished, so it's hard to get a good grasp on prices (one "Starter Pledge" for $49 is all they currently have listed, along with a $20 add on). The whole magnetized modular wall system looks like it could have potential.

      About
Digital render of the finished sculpts. In the last six or so years I have played a lot of tabletop games, ranging from Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons to smaller games like Frostgrave and Relicblade. I have fallen in love with the hobby of painting miniatures and everything surrounding it. A year ago I made plans to give something back and to add something to this hobby community I love so dearly.
My background in digital game art helped me a lot since I was already familiar with the software to sculpt digitally. So I started working on a few miniatures I would like to produce. Most of them were abandoned in favor of better ideas, but eventually I created this set of three goblins. These goblins are each embodiments of the archetypes found in many of the games I love: the wizard, the fighter and the thief/ranger.
I spent the last year figuring out how to cast resin to the standards I saw in the products I enjoy and how to make sure digitally sculpted details translated well to the tabletop scale.
These three figures are the end result of that progress, but hopefully the start of a lot more.
I made this Kickstarter to cover the costs of the materials used and shipping, but mostly so I can bring these little goblins to your tabletop :)
All miniatures will be multiple parts cast in resin and supplied unpainted, with a 25mm gaming base.
      The final resin casts.

They drag their feet one in front the other, deliberately, slowly. They  crawl out of their resting grounds. Out of the tombs to the fresh air,  slowly, unrestained.
Scylla Models is back presenting you a new range of Villains and Undead monsters for your collection. The models we present you are master casts  white metal (primed white for better result in the pictures), with the only exception of Zuula. She on her Night Terror is our first large monster and we decided to go resin. The results are quite impressive as you might see in the picture.
