Actually a clear ship could be just as "ghostly" as a green translucent.

In reality, yes.

In people's heads, no.

Sure, they can hit it with a green transparent paint for the same effect, but a translucent green ship will be seen as ghostly, while people will think a clear ship is invisible.

Must be a cultural thing, to me ghosts are relatively white with maybe a hint of blue and I've even gotten the question if it's some sort of poisonous ghost with the green translucent ghosts from my players in the past.

I think @Skallabjorn may have talked me into getting one of these. I was just going for 2x ballista.

@Skallabjorn do you think the ammunition is going to be molded into the spoon? or a separate piece for the customer to glue in?

Surely they'll leave it separate so that people can load their boulderkin into it.

To me the Reaper ship is far superior, especially with all those guns.

The guns aren't a selling point for everyone. I'd be more likely to need a ship for a fantasy game where they'd be out of place. The guns worry me, since they seem so prominent that even if taking them out is an option the ship will still have gun ports down it's side. It does look better than the other one, though.

We've always used cannons, bombards, arquebus (which was in the 2e phb), old flintlock pistols etc.

My fantasy games have generally been pre-gunpowder, but I guess I can make an exception for this one...

All the Stonehaven long gun wielders can go into the crew.

They could be "magic" cannons.

I ran a pre-gunpowder game that used cannons, but the "gunners" were wizards and the cannons were focusing tubes, they amplified the damage and range of fireballs to act like a cannon.

Makes me hope for a Sophie's D&D crew for an add-on.

That's a cool idea!

18 Gun Sloop-Of-War...

I was told that most injection molding machines want a mold to be no bigger than a 12x12 inch block of steel? Maybe that was just the limits for Thomas?

But it seems obvious that the ship is going to be a multi-mold process no matter what. But given that, it creates the opportunity to make different parts of the ship from different materials. Perhaps allowing it to be the Second Bones product* to created from different materials with each portion of the ship crafted from the optimum material for that component.

*Wyrmgear was the first, right?

I had not read the update but just seeing the picture I figured Druid and Sapling Treeman?  That looks like an animated tree stump or section of tree trunk. But woodland apothecary works for me...

...nice art Izzy.

Izzy's dark elves are the only versions IMO that capture the absolute arrogance/broccoli-like appearance and demeanor that I would expect from dark elves.

What's funny is, I've painted up a bunch of regular elves to be my world's dark elves because I needed them for a campaign I'm running. I don't really need many more dark elves at this point, so I was actually planning on painting the Bones 4 and 5 Drow up as regular elves.

If only we had some catapults, ballistas and trebuchets to go with that ship.

I'm not quite certain what that dead tree critter covered in fungus is supposed to be. But for me that's going to be some sort of zombie ent.

I read somewhere that the critter is ablighted treant that the alchemist uses as a mobile fungal garden for ingredients.

It has been so excruciatingly slow though that I really hope for a reveal that can inspire, at least for just a day, another pledge festival. Just to cleanse the palate.

Still hoping for a tease of Greek 2 and something else upcoming.

Archon Studio (LOAD, Vanguard of War, Chronicle X) are branching into modular terrain. The project is now Live:

Apparently it is "full plastic injection" so not the same as their minis. The concept seems interesting, but the preview page is far from finished, so it's hard to get a good grasp on prices (one "Starter Pledge" for $49 is all they currently have listed, along with a $20 add on). The whole magnetized modular wall system looks like it could have potential.

      About
Digital render of the finished sculpts. In the last six or so years I have played a lot of tabletop games, ranging from Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons to smaller games like Frostgrave and Relicblade. I have fallen in love with the hobby of painting miniatures and everything surrounding it. A year ago I made plans to give something back and to add something to this hobby community I love so dearly.
My background in digital game art helped me a lot since I was already familiar with the software to sculpt digitally. So I started working on a few miniatures I would like to produce. Most of them were abandoned in favor of better ideas, but eventually I created this set of three goblins. These goblins are each embodiments of the archetypes found in many of the games I love: the wizard, the fighter and the thief/ranger.
I spent the last year figuring out how to cast resin to the standards I saw in the products I enjoy and how to make sure digitally sculpted details translated well to the tabletop scale.
These three figures are the end result of that progress, but hopefully the start of a lot more.
I made this Kickstarter to cover the costs of the materials used and shipping, but mostly so I can bring these little goblins to your tabletop :)
All miniatures will be multiple parts cast in resin and supplied unpainted, with a 25mm gaming base.
      The final resin casts.

They drag their feet one in front the other, deliberately, slowly. They  crawl out of their resting grounds. Out of the tombs to the fresh air,  slowly, unrestained.
Scylla Models is back presenting you a new range of Villains and Undead monsters for your collection. The models we present you are master casts  white metal (primed white for better result in the pictures), with the only exception of Zuula. She on her Night Terror is our first large monster and we decided to go resin. The results are quite impressive as you might see in the picture.
