Slimux and Mulch

Recommended Posts

It is WONDERFULLY disturbing, LOVELY  in its own grotesque way, AND BEAUTIFULLY painted in a perfectly fitting array of colors. VERY WELL DONE once more!

Damn, GW is putting out some pretty sweet sculpts of late...  Fantastic work on it--disgusting!  Um...critiques...  Can't say much wrong with it.  Could use a snail trail.  Maybe the tree's a little too true brown.  I like that Slimux and Mulch have a similar palette with some "noisy" colors between.  Very fitting for chaos.

Really like how this turned out! The shell on the snail and the captive are my favorite parts -works for me as I see the snail as the star of the sculpt

I agree with you on the tree, it is a bit plain, I probably should repaint it (I'm a bit better at painting wood now) but I'm lazy.

The current center-piece of my Demonic Army, a Balrog "Balor."

This is "Errtu, Balor" from the Legend of Drizzt D&D Board Game.  I painted him up about a year ago and he was one of the first huge minis I ever attempted.  There's a lot that I wish I'd done better looking back on it, but you have to make mistakes to get better!

Presenting my Beastman Champion and true child of Atmos (In my own fantasy setting I base some of my Games Workshop stuff in, Beastman are a race of former humans who were changed by worshipping an ancient, goat-headed god called Atmos. Occasionally, an actual goat-headed Beastman will be born amongst them and will be considered Atmos's offspring, they then get all the best food and stuff and grow up to be one of the leaders or shamans of the various tribes.) Who is from the Warhammer: Underworlds range by Games Workshop.

I'm super pleased with how this guy turned out, but I really need to buckle down and actually finish one of these Underworlds sets.

Here's a simple one for you today.  Filling out my Demonic Army, we have a Barlgura, represented by an Ape Demon (77260).

He seems a little small, but it works.  Painted him up quickly the evening before a game sometime last winter.

I've got more fiendish things to show you all, but this one is good for today.

Presenting The Bride of Nurgle, the leader of the Nurgle warband in the game Warhammer:- Underworlds by Games Workshop.

I don't usually post my Underworlds stuff here, but I felt this one deserved it.
Annoyingly, I did a really good job painting her face but you can't see most of it once her fringe is attached.

This statuesque demon prince has been on my to paint list for a while.  Had fun using non-black blacks on him, skin base is Coal Black (Reaper 9693), highlighted with Coal Black mixed with neutral greys and also Mint Green for the highest highlights.  The base cobblestones are Black indigo (Reaper 9603), with Lava Orange (Reaper 9218) as mortar. Also decided to try out the NMM Gold triad, so all the gold is NMM.

Reaper 3086 Nephal the Demon Prince in metal.
