November 11th.

What D&D Class/Race would you like to be in real life?

Half-orc barbarian. No guilt about not bathing/grooming for a day (or more), free to rage away at the slightest provocation.

Lich. Frees up all eternity to get the minis painted and would help me fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a cult leader.

HUMAN COMMONER! Let the heroes crawl in the sewers or attend to that kobold problem.

Alternative is HALFLING CLERIC. I'll get to worship an entity who's views are perfectly aligned with my own (there are enough out there that I'll eventually find the "One"), and they have great health coverage. And being a halfling is basically like being retired. You're encouraged to stay home, get plenty of meals, no hassle. Just peace and quiet (I'm 48, this is becoming more and more desirable by the day).

But if you're a lich, you're already immortal, so you don't need to paint anymore.

I bet the ceremony includes sacrificing all of your minis, licking you brushes, drinking your paints and praising GW's business practices.

Gods, it really is an affront to all that is holy!

A drow ranger with two scimitars and a pet cat. Because that's what everybody wants to be. <_<

Or possibly a wizard from some long-lived race, because for wizards, physics is just one choice among many.

In real life, I guess a human bard.  I’d want to blend in, and don’t find myself having to kill monsters very often, aside from cockroaches.  Bards have a very versatile skill set, and besides - I always wanted to be a rock star.

Otherwise a Tabaxi rogue - basically cat/spider-man.  Or maybe ghostwise halfling monk.

Not with the intersession of Linus and the Great Pumpkin! They're willing to back me on this once I figure out a way to get the Peanuts IP away from Disney, no ceremony needed. Which admittedly is a bit of a tall order, but they're deeply frightened of the next Peanuts Halloween Special falling victim to this "subverting expectations" trend.

I already am a dwarf fighter.... but Granted I have not read most of the books still (I am waiting on the movie), I think a Dragonborn fighter- sorcerer, cause um Skyrim anyone???? and because, how cool would it be to fling a fireball at someone then charge in with my sword..... scorch burn, skewer.

I don't DnD so it would have to be Starfinder, a Pahtra Envoy....yeah, that would be fun.

1/2 elf wizard. Not like an all powerful archmage type wizard, more like one of those little hedge mages that lives in a quiet little village and sends out the younglings to live lives of adventure and save the kingdom! Also, prestidigitation & mending would be so handy!

I got a new answer:

Race: Dragon! (one of the good ones, people don't want to slay them as much)

Class: Also dragon!

Favourite treasure type: Minis and paints. [Looks at mounds of unpainted minis in apartment.] Yup, that's a hoard all right.

Breath weapon type: A cloud of primer.

Welcome to the last 2019 instalment of Getting to Know You, December 2019 Edition.

The rules as they currently stand ( ...should you chose to accept them... )

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, are likely chomping at the bit to step in and post one...
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions will typically be posted between  06:00 hours and 09:00 hours CET. (Central European Time UYC +1)***
3.5 (...that is 23:00 to 02:00 hours RST Reaper Standard Time UTC -6)***
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me or one of the other quisitioners.
(But my PM box is stuffed full gimme 2-3 days to clear it out...)
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play.
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to respond (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions will often take the form of two day quests, running Saturday to Sunday.

***CLEARLY I WILL ON OCCASION BEND RULES 3. And 3.5.
