Tabletop RPG gaming saved my life during a time when I was really struggling. The act of a scheduled activity where I would go have fun with friends on a regular basis helped me overcome my depression. It helped me build stronger connections with friends, create a sense of community, and, as cheesy as it sounds, gave me somewhere to belong. As a way to contribute back to the fandom creatively, I started Dispel Dice.

Since then, it’s grown more than I could have possibly imagined in a short period of time. I want to share Dispel Dice with the world, and to do that, I need to accelerate production so it can be sustainable long-term.

Dispel Dice stands in solidarity with Kickstarter United.

Those are among the most beautiful dice I've ever seen. And seeing as how people are pledging like crazy on day 1, I'm not the only one thinking that.

I know these are premium hand-made resin dice, but yeesh!, at ~$60 per set (including shipping), I can live without.

Have to agree that they are gorgeous.  But oh the price for a set of dice.  It's alot to ask.  But people are jumping in head first it seems.  I wonder if it is also a case where they become a victim of their own success!

And edited to say I also like my dice sets with three d6 dice as well.

They really are beautiful.

For my purposes, completely useless, though; they're nigh-unto-unreadable at any kind of distance. And I have enough 'Show' dice. :/

Downright gorgeous, but like others have said its a pass for me since they'd be hard to read on the table top (especially in dim light!), and not only would I want a few extra d6 (probably four total) but I'd also want several d20's as well...

And wow, that price is as stunning as these are gorgeous...

I wonder that as well.  Wouldn't be the first or the thousandth time it has happened.

They look really pretty, but readability is my main concern when it comes to dice and most of these fail that test. They are also very expensive.

I'm also wary of dice Kickstarters as, in my experience, they don't have the greatest success rate. Out of the couple I have backed, Impact! Miniatures has come through every time (but they always do) and Kraken dice delivered, but the dice I received looked nowhere near the quality of the Kickstarter campaign pictures.

They are stunning looking dice, and they are just about through their stretch goals already.

But they are very expensive

Pledged for one set.

Awoke this morning to a notice that all goals have been unlocked, but, due to overwhelming support, any new pledges will have delivery date extended from November 2020 to August 2021.  As I've posted above, some campaigns are simply not prepared for success.

If I got a set I'd just re-ink them.  It seems to be pretty common with a lot of these Resin dice that their color choices are bad visually.  Kraken Dice has the same issue.  It's like none of them have ever had color theory or encountered a bad UX

Nice dice, but they are too busy for me. If the color on the number was more of a contrast, I may be interested but this one is a easy pass.

What's the point of sharp edges, particularly on resin dice?

I mean, won't the edges get damaged pretty quickly?

The point of sharp edges is that the dice don't needlessly roll too much. It helps with overall balance of dice. It's one of the reasons why casino dice are made the way they are. Your average gamer dice go through a tumbler in their creation process which inevitably rounds off all of the edges.

When you roll a sharp edge gaming die, you'll even feel like it doesn't roll enough unless you really give it a good throw.

If the resin is fragile or not really depends on what particular type of resin they use. You can have pretty much any property you want depending on how much you want to spend. Just like wooden dice, ones made of pinewood vs ones made with ironwood will have very different durability.

Deadlands Lost Colony is a roleplaying game setting for the Deadlands universe and uses the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition game system. It takes place in 2097, thirteen years after the Last War in Deadlands Hell on Earth. Hellstromme Industries created a “Tunnel” between Earth and a distant star system later called Faraway. Millions of colonists settled on asteroid mining stations and the only inhabitable planet, Banshee, before the Tunnel collapsed and left them stranded. Now the humans must fend for themselves against a rogue military, ruthless pirates, angry anouks, the rise of an evil alien presence, and worst of all, the arrival of the Reckoners—made flesh on Earth and exiled to Banshee!

Phillip Reed has launched another Kickstarter to add to his recently finished campaign "A Dozen Sinister Rumours", which ended up giving out seventeen system-agnostic PDFs for fantasy RPGs for only a $1. This new one is following a similar idea, pledging for a $1 gets you access to all unlocked PDFs of RPG flavour inspiration, each of which have a dozen ideas, adventure hooks, important items or NPCs to use.
