Anhurian Cavalry

Recommended Posts

Anyone else having trouble with the new Anhurian Cavalry mini?  I got the right arm with lance attached but it looks anatomically awkward.

I've not tried assembling it yet, and I've lost track of it somewhere in my pile of "stuff to work on some day".

Just in case it's a matter of positioning it correctly, maybe the picture from the catalogue might help a little?

OP is right.  I just got one from my local game store & it's just as Bus described.  Fairly horrifying.  No pics because I had tried to mod it, and then just gave up.

I have one as well, not only is the arm an anatomically train wreck, the male part is all misshapen and doesn’t fit into the female part. I just put it aside after messing w it and it will sit in my “not really interested” pile. Probably my least favorite reaper mini even though I was looking forward to doing my first Calvary mini When I got it. Huge reaper fan but they missed the boat on this one.

It was the toughest mini to assemble I've run across. Even when the arm was in the right place, it didn't look right.

However, I will say that while I wasn't happy with the mini, Reaper was super helpful with assisting me on the assembly. They even took a picture to help me out so kudos for that.

Thankfully, I ended up getting the Overlord Cavalry mini at the same time and used that in my game instead.  Afterwards, I tweaked the position of the lance and now I'm really happy with it.

Over the weekend, I bumped into the copy mini I had stashed away from my Kickstarter rewards, and remembered this discussion - yeah, now that I've seen the fit in person, it's definitely a "bit" weird - not your imagination!

I think I could fix it up OK simply by raiding my bitz-box of hard plastic leftover arms from fantasy wargaming minis for an arm transplant, but YMMV on how practical that would be for your situation.

My model is currently residing in the project bin. I'll probably take a crack and repositioning the arm once I get better with using green stuff.
