Altar of the Damned by GLITTERWOLF

Recommended Posts

Oh wow! Everything looks magnificent. The composition, with the ghost! The heaps of unhallowed bones! The altar, with the sand of ages upon it!

I especially love Fatima's wings and the Anubis guard.
https://postimg.cc/bZTNMT04 doesn't have any visible nudity; you could put it up on the forum directly I think.

But whose spirit is she calling up? and for what purpose?

Heh, I just used Isabella (as a banshee) in my last Ravenloft Al game. She was Lady Marliena Fidatov, last of her family line who was cursed due to her love (greed) for the love her luxury & lifestyle. PCs had a hard time taking her down but it was a enjoyable adventure/encounter.

Nice work on everything!!

Thx! I put the unoffending one direct.

It's loosely based on Warhammer's Tomb King's Casket of Souls.

Since I also play Total Warhammer ( all of it) I like the ingame Casket and wanted to build one myself.

In game the spirits function like magical missiles when summoned.

Thanks! I took her from a BOGW some time ago since Undead are among my favorites.

Figured she would make a nice ghost appearing from the sarcophagus.

Your story sounds good, I like to make up background stories for my minis even if I just put them on display.

Taletha knew she was ready, she had studied the grimoire, practiced the ritual over and over again.
She would call upon the Spiritworld and ask for a champion to avenge her parents.
Power surged through her when she spoke the forbidden words, a cold wind blew her candle out and suddenly the spirit appeared.

It's night, it rains and it seems everybody in this forsaken town has closed their doors and windows.
Even the Inn seems to be closed, why?
One would think the villagers are afraid of something.

You hear the sound of wings in the dark sky above you.
Suddenly you hear a soft voice:
All alone in the dark? How nice!

You turn around and the last thing you see is the Necromera.

Once she was loved, then betrayed and murdered in cold blood.
He got away with it and to keep up appearances he laid flowers on her grave.
Thinking he could be happy with his new found love, keeping it a secret for now.
In a while he would "meet a new girl" again and nobody would ever suspect the truth.

One last time to play the grieving widower, he walked to her grave with some flowers in hand.
Some other visitors looked at him, feeling sorrow for his loss.
He smiled inside, if only they knew.

      The others left the cemetary.
He laid down the flowers, no need to hang around if nobody was around.
Besides he was longing for his new girl, one more look at the tombstone, a shame she wouldn't let him go.
He had to free himself from her, too bad it had to end this way.
Goodbye! He whispered and turned around.

Oh, don't go yet! He heard a whispering voice say.
A cold wind blew around his neck, he turned around and saw her ghost emerging from the grave.
Two shiny daggers in her hands.
      You'll stay with me...forever!
