Finally getting back to painting a bit more consistently and finishing things. Here is one I finished recently, Theo from Zombicide: Wolfsburg. I'm multi-tasking him to also serve as the ranger for my ranger's of shadowdeep warband. Hoping to have my warband finished by the end of the month.
Thanks in advance for and C&C you give.
Here is my Callie.
I painted her as a second WIP for my BONES 1 attempts.
I really like the sculpt. I painted her as a half-orc or orc. She has some freckles, nice green gems, and some ivy freehand on the cloak.
Here is a link to the WIP.
here are two more Partha figures I've been working on, two half-elven Rangers sculpted probably by Jeff Grace way back in the nineties. I'd actually started painting these figures years and years ago, but the eyes turned out horribly wrong on both of them, so I threw them into Pinesol. Recently though, they were sitting on my desk and I got inspired, so started painting them up. They were pretty simple paint jobs, and once again, because I'm lazy, used the same paint scheme for both of them.
And here they are together:
I've got this mini in the legend of drizzt board game last december and I just hated it right off the bat. The weird pose, lack of details, undefined face, I could go on... Also, something that was quite striking about it was the lack of feminine detalis and a kind of a masculine look of the female ranger It looked to me more like a man dressed as a female ranger, and I found that quite funny and promising!
As I've thought more about it, it reminded me of Doris from "Sherk" and Okama characters from "One Piece", which I both love!
So those characters inspired me to paint Catti in a similar fashion, which I believe gave the mini much needed character. I like how it turned out and I think she will make an interesting pc or npc in our dnd campaign!
