Maggotcrown Ogre Juggernaut - my first attempt at NMM

Very wicked, I really like your color scheme here. What did you use to highlight the red on the armor?

He’s a fun model to paint! I’d get another one honestly.

Sadly, I don't have any Reaper paints, so it was a combo of Army Painter and Vallejo. The highlights are Vallejo extra opaque uo through a flesh tone.

Good work! He is indeed really red! To really hit the NMM, try being brave with the highlights - right up to white on the sharpest areas. ;)

I love how you painted the armor. It's not too shiny, exactly how it should look like on a wearer coming back to haunt the battlefield.

I agree, though I would have been ecstatic if it had ended up looking more metallic, like the kind of NMM you see in the big painting comps.

BUT! I am trying not to compare myself to them. I've started painting a few "orphaned" Stormcast Eternals with NMM gold, and I will only compare myself today to myself yesterday. I promise. Honest. Really.

Hi everyone, here's another 77236, Bloodmane Gnoll Warrior. The original version this time. This model was sculpted by Tre Manor.

In pursuit of my goal, here is another Gnoll that I finished painting last night. This 77234, Boneflail female Gnoll Cleric was sculpted by Tre Manor.
In spite of their devotion to Yeenoghu, few Gnolls have any interest in ritual and there is few clerics or shamans to be found among the savage packs. Gnolls would sometimes summon demons to fight alongside them.

Disciplined like a hobgoblin, I'm staying home painting some stuff. Here's a Chainmail Miniatures model 88349, hobgoblin fighter I completed last night. This model was sculpted by Mike McVey and produced by Wizards of the Coast in 2001 for the Drazen's Horde faction. I used Reaper’s MSP acrylics to paint it. Stay safe and disciplined.

Hi everyone, here are pictures of the first model I painted this year. Seems like I'm having a busy January...
02789, Talarand the Blackguard was sculpted by Tim Prow. It's one of the top five favorite model I painted so far. This suit of armor is astounding.
