kristof65
Finally picked this up. Haven't read past the Select Your Captain section yet, though.
Corsair
Question here, had a guy tell me that when your Captain or XO rolls for activating a power that you add the Will modifier to your roll. I cannot find this in the rules, is this correct?
Brianuk
Cracking game of Stargrave. We played the Overgrown Factory. The warbot was brutal but stayed on one side of the board. Once again my expensive mini gunner was rubbish but my dog was absolutely brutal killing 2, and my drone was surprisingly tough as well.

Corsair
My g'nephew is here this week, he likes Battletech so I may try to see if he would want to try Stargrave. Don't know if his two older sisters will be interested but I will make sure they are welcomed into it if they want to try it.
Corsair
My g'niece Emma is over and asked to play Stargrave, so we did. Shelikes it and is now trying to paint her first mini while playing!

Shelikes it and is now trying to paint her first mini while playing! Congrats! That must have been a great experience for you! We played our April campaign game on the 2nd, and did the Fire Moon scenario. This features a table crisscrossed with lava rivers. We had 6 players, and used a 6' x 3' table. It turned out to be an exciting game, with Magmite creatures popping up all over and giving us grief. In the end, I got two loot tokens off which was a nice change from my usual single one. Three of my Crew were brought down during the game, but all survived. Overview of the table. I started in the middle spot on the left. My crew battles another over some locked loot. At the bottom you can see a Magmite that, having just chomped on my robot Case Cracker, is now heading for the fight. (The rules described the Magmites as having tentacles and claws and a armored shell, so since one of the layers had these toy lobsters at hand, we used them. They ended up being christened as "Rock Lobsters" during the game. 😁) I suffered a lot of early wounds at the beginning, but was able to still make progress. Luckily, my Gunner (taking cover on the left)was able to discourage the enemy shooter from sticking around and causing more damage. The Magmite enters the battle, and after Badly Wounding my Recuit, is dispatched by an enemy grenade. My Second in Command carries of some Data loot, by the storage tanks, as two other crew people work on unlocking some Physical Look. Why are the people with decks always by the Physical Loot, and the people with the picks always by th Data Loot!? 😜 At one point my cat, Edgar, decided to join in and try his luck in the game. 😄 Edited April 5, 2022 by Chris Palmer

I was still editing to add captions when you posted, so you'll find the answer is in there now; but, to answer directly, they were being used for the Magmite creatures from the rulebook.

Lidless Eye
Pre-order bundles are up for "The Last Prospector" expansion. I like that they're tossing in a sprue of Oathmark Light Infantry to convert Space Miners from existing kits; it reminds me of the days where GW would put out bundle packs of 2 or 3 kits to make say, Lost & The Damned Mutants or Vampire Coast Zombie Pirates. They also have heads to convert one of the new factions, Dark Brotherhood or such. They are also alternate Cultist heads, and they suggested they may be released as an STL as well like they did the Demonic Wings for the Hrut Soldiers kit as the "Cape/Wing Tax" meant they never made it to the plastic sprue. 4

Brianuk
Played a game of 'Go Star Capelago'. Basically stargrave with fantasy pirates. All we changed was adding heavy hand weapons, boats, and that it takes two activations to reload a gun. It really felt like a pirate scrap, different to GA or to Stargrave. I'd painted all the pirate minis as a lock down project and it was a nice feeling to get those in the table finally. Hopefully will get to play it again.
