Welp there goes another chunk o money. I hope the cannon are removable and the gun ports able to be closed.

They said in the twitch stream that their goal is to have the port doors hinge and be closable, and the cannons removable, but this is still a very early render, and the peculiarities of bringing it to reality haven't been fully realized yet.

So, ehhh, boyfriend told me to take storage space into considaration after the last kickstarter shipped.

Any ideas on where to inconspicuously store that ship?

Edit: Probably best to say it could be used as WH terrain. Or finally get that glass storage thing and put it on the wall. Anyhow, I'm happy and my PCs will have some seafaring to do soonish.

Yeah, I think the ship becomes the decorative storage container.

They can simulate removable cannon and opening/closing ports by arranging for "plugs" with the different configurations that will slip into suitably sized receptacles.  Might be easier from a design and mold making standpoint than actual working ports.

This also allows for different size cannon to be simulated with different plug configurations, or ports open and the cannon not run out.  All sorts of possibilities with just a slight tweak in design thinking.

Ooh, the ship doesn't have an official name yet.

So it's open to suggestions. Remember how Wyrmgear from KS 1 was fan named.

Boaty McBoatface?

That is one beauty of a ship.  likely not in my budget, but it is oh so pretty.

I can see this getting suspended from the ceiling out of a traffic area for those with extreme storage constraints.  Un-ship the masts, load up the decks with extra minis, then hang it with wire or cordage from a convenient corner of the room.

If Ed does announce a pirate ship (and means it and delivers) then I'm a real rakshasa with backwards hands and an aversion to holy weapons.

That's why I'm not inducing chaos on the kickstarter comments. To chaotic ::P:

Truly. Remove the masts, place some plexiglass on top and you have a spiffy coffee table! ::):

yea hubby agrees, it's just too large for us. He'd prefer a more medieval sized ship over a more modern one with cannons =P he said if it was half the size it is listed to be here that he would be all over it

but it'll definitely bring in the pledges!

Hanging it from the ceiling sounds interesting. It'd become a cat hammock at that point though, and I'm not sure I'd want that.

Seems like a problem for future Nunae though, no good decisions are made at 2:30 AM.

Hmm...

Let's see:

Bones material ship + fire heat source = FLOPPY MASTS! (I think I just found the new ship name)

The classic boil and ice dunk trick is going to be a problem at that size.

      Story
It was the Baron himself who nailed up the poster in Midlam the town square.
WANTED:  LADY WILDWOOD and sundry associated gang members - For Murder, extortion, petty theft and highway robbery.  REWARD - 10 Gold Coins for Lady Wildwood and 1 Gold Coin per gang member.
Speculation and rumour was rife!  Who were these new Bandits that were plaguing Midlam?  Who was the mysterious and dangerous Lady Wildwood? It seemed that the town had been under siege, first from Captain Grief's Gang and then the Hobgoblin Rainding Party, and now this gang of merciless women!
Bounty hunters muttered in dark corners of Inns, looking for information and squads of Town Guard regularly marched out into the surrounding countryside in their pursuit.
But still the robberies and raids continued...

A gang of eleven 28mm scale bandits, thugs and ruffians, lead by the Notorious Lady Wildwood, for all of your fantasy miniature games.
      Waylaid by Bandits Volume One
You can also, should you wish, include our first bandit gang with your pledge.  Captain Grief's Gang is a series of of eleven 28mm scale bandits, thugs and ruffians, including the original stretch goal 'George the Grind'.  You could then mix and match your bandits or have them as deadly rivals!

It's only an 11 day  project, so hury up and back.
