That spike on the last days of Bones I was the most fun I ever had on a KS ever  ^^

No doubt.

Bones one followed a very different track than a modern Kickstarter. The constant build up, and huge acceleration at the end will be difficult, if not impossible to recapture.

I still think we'll have a pretty exciting final 48.

It looks like we should expect a million dollar spike the last 2 days based on that history. Crazy.

Yep, if you can be available to monitor the Kickstarter on the last day, you're in for a wild ride!   It's a ton of fun and sheer craziness!

Unfortunately, I'm kind of underwhelmed by Bones V. I tend to dislike extremely large figures and would prefer to make my own terrain so there's not a whole lot I want so far.

I was interested in the Greek expansion until there was a cloud giant included. I don't think I'll need underwater figures or a pirate themed set or a samurai themed set and dungeon dwellers is very much geared to first time backers.

The upside is I'm spending less than I thought. Core set + paint + maybe the trebuchet and catapult.

That's a 130mm disk I used for sizing and posing. Note that four legs should fit on the base (I think in the printed one they showed they switched to two middle legs on the right side which is why one is off the base).

I am picturing that mounted on the walls of a super villain organization.

Maybe replace the disk with a light source.

Jenny would HATE that!

looks like  the GW 160mm bases may work?

Sanjay

I was thinking one of their bigger Ovals. Or the Reaper equivalent. (Maybe capture the two front-most legs plus the four others.)

Looking at that image @TaleSpinner posted, the thought of engineering it to hang from a stout thread (fishing line) sounds pretty creepsational.

They have six ovals and one pill-shaped biker base.

Biggest Reaper oval is 170x105. I don’t know what the biggest is from GW/FW.

I hate oval bases. They don't work for most games that don't account for a facing, like D&D and Pathfinder, because they prevent actual tactical movement when something is incapable of turning due to the oval/rectangular base. There's a reason 3.5 + went to round bases for everything.

attach the fishing line to a small remote controlled motor/pulley, and slowly lower it down to the gaming table.   Better if it can come out of a, light fixture, drop ceiling or vent.

      Story
It was the Baron himself who nailed up the poster in Midlam the town square.
WANTED:  LADY WILDWOOD and sundry associated gang members - For Murder, extortion, petty theft and highway robbery.  REWARD - 10 Gold Coins for Lady Wildwood and 1 Gold Coin per gang member.
Speculation and rumour was rife!  Who were these new Bandits that were plaguing Midlam?  Who was the mysterious and dangerous Lady Wildwood? It seemed that the town had been under siege, first from Captain Grief's Gang and then the Hobgoblin Rainding Party, and now this gang of merciless women!
Bounty hunters muttered in dark corners of Inns, looking for information and squads of Town Guard regularly marched out into the surrounding countryside in their pursuit.
But still the robberies and raids continued...
      Waylaid by Bandits Volume Two
A gang of eleven 28mm scale bandits, thugs and ruffians, lead by the Notorious Lady Wildwood, for all of your fantasy miniature games.
      Waylaid by Bandits Volume One
You can also, should you wish, include our first bandit gang with your pledge.  Captain Grief's Gang is a series of of eleven 28mm scale bandits, thugs and ruffians, including the original stretch goal 'George the Grind'.  You could then mix and match your bandits or have them as deadly rivals!

It's only an 11 day  project, so hury up and back.

Tomb Guardians over the past year has been asked to release our miniatures in a resin/plastic material because a lot of you do not like metal.  So for nearly a year we have discussed and researched the best way to produce a high quality, high detail miniature that is far above the current standard on the market.  We are happy to announce that we have found a method and decided to release all our 28mm monsters in a High Resolution Resin.  These miniatures will come with a 1 year guarantee, if you break one we will replace it for FREE!  Just mail it back to us.   Bobby Jackson, Jason Weibe, Gene Van Horne and Patrick Keith help create these amazing creatures.  We hope you enjoy our Monsters and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
