It wasn't so much the cryotanks specifically, but the idea that the chronoscope expansion/encounter would be fairly firmly in the SciFi side of things.

You don’t think VSF can manage cryotanks?  Spartan Games pushed the periodic table of elements out to Atomic Number 260 in their VSF. Not that it helped them stay in business.

I figure cryotanks are doable (with enough rivets!!). We should get an expert opinion:

@Froggy the Great  VSF and cryotanks? what say you?

I had a dream last night that the ship got made and was everything I wanted it to be. I remembered that it had a lower level and opened it up. The lower deck was full of flumphs. This morning I was amused remembering it when it hit me: when I'm not using the ship I can cover the deck with painted minis and use the lower deck to store unpainted ones.

So if I store a few dozen older, unpainted, white Bones in and on an unpainted BV ship, it's not a "shelf of shame"; it's a "Ghost Ship Display"?

Rivets? In a cryotank?

Oh, I don't think so. Stress risers galore, differential expansion problems, and lots more opportunities for leaks. And extra shrapnel! Nope, nope, nope. Definitely not.

Well, unless it's supposed to explode, of course.

If you want steampunk cryotanks, just put goggles on them.

It's a "ship of shame", I'm afraid. :B):

Well, how else is Dirk Dangerfield Our Dashing Hero supposed to blow up the secret laboratory of the nefarious Dr. Doombringer?

The BOGW often crosses the border into Canada, so no need to wait for a special one. :)

I was considering getting two of those sets for that reason as well. Also two of Deep Depths, and possibly two of Brinewind as well in order to get multiples of some of the stuff.   (Yes, I have a problem. ::P:)

I will keep that in mind - I did notice some people mentioning it was Canada-friendly, but I will admit, international shipping for a box that size is not cheap over here, and I know shipping your flatrate boxes to Canada can get expensive too (I once was forced to get very creative getting a lot of comics from Boston to Vancouver.) But who knows what'll be the case by the time I have spare minis?

I was also considering two of Deep Depths. Very excited for Part 3 reveal today, I think that'll be more of a deciding factor.

What time does this thing wrap up again on Saturday? I'm going to be busy that day with bicycles, tweed jackets, and alcohol. But I want to set myself a reminder to pull over and check the totals near the end of the campaign. Maybe even see the last few minutes of whatever they have going on over on Twitch.

And of course all cryo tanks explode catastrophically with a single shot from any gun, despite what the Mythbusters say.

Welcome to the forum!  And congrats on your first post!   ::):

Thank you for the welcome! First post and first time I'm getting in on the Kickstarter. Even though I eyed the past two from afar, I wasn't painting yet when they were happening... It was tempting, and now that I've started painting, I regret not having the Dreadmere figures I was so in love with last time.

All I need now is something to bridge the next year-and-a-half...

A small but creative series of Garden Gnome miniatures by sculptor Tom Mason. Search for his name in the Reaper figure finder and you'll see some of his other work.

      The Gnome Guard

“The Gnome Guard” expands on the world of “The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan” & ”The Goblin Menace” by introducing the stalwart guards of the garden.

One of the world’s most timeless lawn decorations can now come to life on your tabletop. Whether you need comparably adorable force to face off against other pint-sized foes, or you’re just obsessed with garden gnomes, these miniatures will make a great addition to any collection.

I have a few preview gnomes on my painting workbench. They are great! Small, simple, metal, easy to paint, but full of personality. [/unsolicited review]

Another “large collection of miniatures” kickstarters, reminiscent of the recent Blacklist Games Fantasy kickstarters.

I am tempted, even though it covers a lot of things we already have.

Right on the heels of their last shipped campaign, Midlam Miniatures is back. After several years of halflings, the gnomes are back!
