I wonder what the reaction would have been if there were dino-people wearing togas added to the Greek Expansion or if we have yet to see dino-people waving cutlasses around while wearing eye-patches and parrots on their shoulders?

I've got this sudden twisted image of a party of Adventurers in a boat on a calm bayou suddenly getting swept down a gaping stonework opening and showing up in an alternate world version of Pirates of The Caribbean.  They see the first showroom with the skeletal pirates in poses as an illusion and the visions of "the curs-ed treasure" as a possible hint of the bounty that may await them. The real adventure starts when they hit the second showroom where the Reaper Frigate is shelling the town.

The adventurers land and prepare to repel the invading crew of "salty old pirates"..........

I have a feeling tonight we'll reach that loot golem yet!  I haven't even been paying attention to it before now, but I seem to remember some pessimism from backers who thought we'd never be able to unlock them, and assumed they might be right.  Looking at it now, I have a pretty good feeling about it for those who've been looking forward to it!

I'm not a fan, and I kind of feel bad about that, since they've had some really vocal detractors, including me.  As a running gag, I'm kind of warming up to them!

Don't get me wrong - I hope I don't sound like I'm throwing all $1 backers some shade.  It's just that it looked like a lot of the negative comments were coming from people who were essentially moaning about how they're glad they only backed for $1, because they don't like anything... that might have changed since then with all the stuff revealed over the last day or two, but I figure if they aren't happy by now, they never will be, and it's time for them to take the moaning and negativity elsewhere and free up some elbow-room for people who actually are excited to be here.

 

In any event, there's still a few hundred $1 slots left - I'd like to think most of the folks who join up in the final 48 hours are joining in for at least $40 worth of cool stuff to reach stretch goals with (there are over a thousand $40 slots left!)

That mousling looks like he could kill Sir Forscale by sitting on him.  I really hope they make them smaller.

Whatever else I can say about the dino-people, they aren't boring! 

 

@Green Eyed Monster's idea of a group of adventurers in a boat getting swept into a weird land full of goofy dinosaur people gets me thinking of "Land of the Lost", which makes me want to change the lyrics to the song into something about Dino People, but I can't concentrate on it because now I want some not-Sleestaks!

Same here. 

I have a feeling that there is going to be some ongoing uproar about their size for the entire campaign, with two camps - those who want them to match the rest of the mouslings and those who want them chibi sized.

I see the Reapercon Mouseling as somewhere between the mouselings we've come to know and love [at least that's the way some of us feel about them] and the chibi figures.

It's definitely on a scale that is easier for aging eyes to paint.

And some of us woke to a cold house, and aren't sure what the repair/replace situation will be like.

 

I figure I can at least get the new paints, maybe an encounter or two, depending on how the situation pans out.

I finally pledged at $120 today because realistically I know I'll spend more than that eventually. Not the best time for it but what the hey. I'm wrestling more with what to get when the Battletech pledge manager opens. Want to up that pledge but don't know if I should right away. If it's delayed long enough I have more money coming in December.
