I hadn't noticed they were reusing the same poses, but that makes them even more disappointing.

it's teh same for the new Fantasy dinos (Barring the new sculpts like the stego)

but yes, the Sci-Fi dinos, prehistoric dino people, the new fantasy dinos, and now the samurai dinos, are all using the same model and just swapping out armor and weapons

something i drew many many many years ago   seems fitting

I totally agree with you in that those particular exaggerations are not very realistic in function. This was a challenging character/figure to create because I wanted her to read as feminine but als

I believe this was done to meet 5e basing standards.  D&D's basing rules are really weird and often contradict the description of the creature.  If you make a long creature fit the proper size base, it often needs a pose that is not in line with the description.  If you match the description, D&D players who care about base sizes won't buy it because it hangs over the base too much.  It is a catch 22 for Izzy, us sculptors, and Reaper.

easy enough to convert :)

I love the "Thing in the Well", and the new ballista add-on is cool.

I'm not really sold on samurai-themed saurians, but I appreciate that, 5 Kickstarters in, Reaper needs to explore new and different options to expand the Bones line.  I'm glad other people are excited for them.

Still, it makes me a little but skeptical that the daimyo expansion is for me.

There's been barely any samurai-themed miniatures in any of the KS, though. More humanoids in Asian-styled garb would have been appreciated more.

I don't know this to be true. Did Ron say that somewhere?

OH, i think i misunderstood your reply a few pages back :) :)

so far the second expansion is like the first. no interest.

My list so far is:

- green dragon

- black dragon (maybe -- may drop this)

- Catobelpas *

- golems  *

- zombie giant *

* once its released as a separate mini set from the core, hopefully in the final week

As expected, growth rate much slower.  Wonder how high we will go.  hopefully see part 2 of the second expansion...

There haven't been many samurai-themed miniatures in Reaper's line, but there are companies putting out human samurai miniatures. I agree that unusual humanoids and monsters (including dino-people) are in short supply.

Are they?  Picking on the ceratopsian models (because they're easiest for me to distinguish), I agree that 49006 Thunderfoot Commander (sci-fi) and 44065 Thunderfoot Defender (prehistoric) do seem awfully alike.  The fantasy ceratopsian and samurai ceratopsian both have different stances and poses.  (The poses are definitely unique.  These two may share the same stance but the have a different stance than the Bones 4 minis.)

What I don't understand is why more of us aren't talking about the PHANTOM OF THE PIZZA DUNGEON! Who is this scoundrel? Will Sophie get her dice back? Will Monique's LeeroyJenkinsesque tactical acumen pay off?

Will we get a chibi Phantom to go with the chibi players made in Bones IV?

Inquiring minds (mine, anyway) want to know!

Also I like the Daimyo expansion.

      I leave this here:

Looking quite good! I'm backing for the character set.

Wellcome to our biggest miniatures ever! Blood and Skulls ork rider is the largest and more detailed miniature in 70 mm scale that Nocturna models released in all of these years. This project is really monstruous and we need your help to fund it.
Take a look at all the figures in the campaign, all of them are in 70 mm scale. Blood and Skulls is 28 cm high!
        28 cm total size

I've bought everything this company has put out so far.  I'll probably pick up these two as well.  Really great figures based on classic artwork.
These two are both nude, so I can't show pictures here!
      NSFW link:
"The muses" is a range of miniatures offered by Golem Miniatures.
These 80 mm scale figures, in limited edition, will all come from realistic and oriental paintings of great painters of the nineteenth, a period that we greatly love.
During the fourth campaign "The muses", we had suggested that you submit ideas for the next muses. A vote had then been put in place to decide between the 27 muses that you had selected.
One muse dominated this vote: "La boîte à bijoux" painted by Guillaume Seignac.
To accompany it, a second muse has been chosen on the same theme: "human skin on animal skin". You will discover it below, hoping she inspires you! :)
During the third Muses campaign, we produced the magnificent Lady Godiva painted by John Collier, a famous English painter and one of the founders of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
Here is another of his works: "Lilith" painted in 1889.
Lilith is a mythical Hebrew and Biblical figure (Adam's first wife), whom some see as the very first portrayal of feminism in history.

I'm Adam Sadler, senior game designer at Blacklist Games, and I love miniatures. They are what got my brother Brady and me into the hobby back when we were teenagers. Whether we’re using them in roleplaying games, board games, or tabletop miniatures games, we love collecting, assembling, painting, and playing with them. While Blacklist Games has published several of our games that feature miniatures, they saw our passion could be used for the creation of a new division that would focus solely on miniatures and allow for company growth in parallel with creating great board games. With everyone at the company excited about the possibility of this new division, here we are to share it with you!
Blacklist Miniatures will focus entirely on producing high quality, highly detailed, pre-assembled plastic miniatures to be used in any type of game. Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1, our first miniatures line, is not only a celebration of our love for miniatures, but also of all things fantasy.
With your support, this campaign will not only bring this project to life, but also open the door to other lines of miniatures in various genres and even new games to utilize them!

First time posting a KS thread.  Tribality is releasing a companion book to their previous KS "Seas of Vodari."  I thoroughly enjoyed the previous book and have been looking forward to this one.
As this is the first time I'm posting a KS thread, please feel free to let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.

I think that's enough for context.  The rest can be found on the KS page.
