True. "Thanks" for pointing that out to those of us still running 3.5.... I'm not old, I'm "vintage!" (I'm not even that vintage, truthfully...)

 

(Although I'm not sad about the catoblepas' size. If I really want it on a 3" base, it's not too small to fill it.)

It became slightly smaller than originally planned.

they shrunk argent, i think due to the unexpected cost due to the wing size, but didnt mention it on any of the streams, or early enough if anyone wanted to a refund on it, etc so no one knew, but the argents that were shown on the streams were the larger versions from the resin SLA print.

 

@Darsc Zacal   slightly is subjective -  argent ended up being about 30% smaller.  (instead of 12 inches with base, its around 8-9). thats quite big IMHO

During production for Bones IV, it became apparent that the announced size for Argent would not be something that Reaper could produce. Their choices were to either reduce the size or cancel the figure and refund the money pledged for it. They chose the former (which I'm personally glad about) but did not communicate the decision well at all. This resulted in some disturbance in the force ... maybe as much as a few dozen voices crying out in terror.

I think most people were happy they got their dragon, even if in reduced size.  It is far from a perfect model, though, even at the reduced size.

Yeah! We need more stuff for people who used Humbrol enamels to paint Minifigs figures for WRG Ancients 5th ed. and Column, Line, and Slaughter Square!

Does anyone know if it is still a common problem to be unable to pledge? I've tried repeatedly yesterday and on and off today without any success. I've tried with different browsers, different operating systems and different reward tiers, still no luck. Am I alone in this or are there more?

and it is cool i guess.  but again its subjective.

 

for me, argent (my planned Bahamut) was the main model i wanted in bones 4.  But shrinking it, for me drastically did affect its impact.  Now a lot of that is due to the other models i have.  FOr others, if you put argent beside maaldrakar, it is quite apparent the size difference, which does look  a bit strange IMHO.

 

But again, cause for me, it was my main wanted model, the impact of shrinking it was worse than for others where some ppl just like to know either way.  

 

Would i have still got it? yeah.  now for me, the head is goign to be resculpted to use  as a silver dragon.

What browser are you using?  This is a known issue with Microsoft Edge and IE.  Chrome works with KS fine.

I was able to get on with Mozilla Firefox without problem yesterday, evidently some systems are having more problems than others.

don't forget hsi detail. He has very soft details, and over all looks unfinished to me.

I regret pledging for him, because in his current state, i have no desire to paint him. he's still in his box, while most of my bones 4 minis i bought are now painted. I just have no enthusiasm for painting him. I don't mind his size decrease as much as i lament the fact he is very poorly detailed compared to other big minis that Reaper has done

 

his wings in particular are just huge swaths of un-textured plastic with the occasional vein here and there stuck on
