I actually just ordered one of the Mantic Treasury Terrain Crates, partly because I need one of the swords in a stone for the next module I'm running, but partly because we unlocked the Loot Golem. One of the big piles of treasure will someday animate as the Loot Golem, largely as you have just described with the Fan Favorites bone...thing, and the ghoul bone pit.

If you want something beefier, there are 6 Gnoll options in Bones, 11 in metal.

 

 

 

I have these in metal ( except the werejackal) I would like to see more in Bones, but different sculpts and maybe Ogre sized or Giant sized.

 

 As it is, we can't have it all, BONES V has a lot of great stuff, I'm very excited for all the seamonsters, pirates and the ship.

Though I do like the fact that "Pizza Dungeon Dragon" is armed with a Pizza. Best sort of weapon for placating the hungry hordes...

 

Another thought on paying for all this stuff.

I pledged what I have in the KS (only sensible way. All users of Bones KS should practice resposible pledging)

Now there is, what about a year-ish (probably some sort of Goblin calendar keeping in there somewhere) time period in which to keep piling the readies into the money-pit (imagine the strike-through bit here cos I don't know how to do it) I mean Pledge Mangler.

Sit back and wait for 1/2 a year !!**!! (though that time can be profitably spent saving up for Bones 6 which ought to be due fairly soon afterish, according to past performances [but as we all know past performance is no indicator of future things] so bigger pledges for even more big things)

So I was thinking what I could use it all for and if it was worth it..I don't game just paint for display and fun, but I like to create armies and warbands anyway.

 

• 901- Spikeshell -  Lost World Project
• 902- Rakshasa -  Nippon Project ( Asian enough for me /Weretiger)
• 903- Balding rogue -  just a cool sculpt I want to paint,maybe he can be part of my Lords of Death Project.
• 904/906- Axoloti - Are you kidding me? - Lost World project
• 907/911 - Mephits - I love small evil critters, so I'll find a way, maybe in the Undead Army.
• 912/914 - Wild Folk - These are useless to me...NO!
• 915-Raccoon Ranger - No idea what I should do with it, but I will paint it up anyway, he could join the Yokai Set.
• 916 - Mamlord - Horde of the North, he will fit in with my Barbarians, Megafauna and other semiprehistoric/chaos stuff.
• 917/920 - Blood Imps - I love small evil critters, so I'll find a way, maybe in the Undead Army. ( Yeah I repeat myself!)
• 921 - Buglips - No need for it, but since it's @buglips*the*goblin himself I will paint it ( blue) in his honour!
• 922 - Chicken Swarm - Too ridiculous and so it will be painted! Maybe add it to the Yokai 
• 923 - Ghoulsbane - Will find a place in my Undead Army
• 924- Vampiress - If there's one thing I can't resist, it's a female vampire..So yes, Ladies of Death Project
• 925- Melusine Darkember - Necromancer material! Ladies of Death Project.
• 926- Ungorth - Of course, Undead Army
• 927- Hellborn Paladin? - Ladies of Death Project, she will fall to her evil nature !
• 928- Female Landknecht - Ha! Landsknechts were around till the 16ct century, I'm sure I can squeeze her in my Conquistadore/Pirate Force of the Lost World.
• 929/932 Gatormen - Do I need to spell it out for you? L.O.S.T. W.O.R.L.D.P.R.O.J.E.C.T.
• 933/936 Pizza Dungeon Animatronics - No use for those! No.
• 937 - Demonic Lasher - I guess it would make a great ONI for my Nippon Project.
• 938/943 - Cockatrice set - I'm not sure about those, maybe I could use the Cockatrice's for something, the Halfling is useless to me anyway. So this one is doubtful

 

All in all it seems it's worth it after all

I'm missing a site which collects all the pictures like they did for Bones IV. I visited reaperminiatures.com/bones4 many times during and after the campaign to look at those pictures.

We've seen a lot of close ups on either Twitch, Facebook or in this forumthread, and I appreciate all the people crossposting to help everyone see everything without going through all the platforms, but a central hub of all the stuff that has been shown would help to look stuff up again in 3 months time without going through hundreds of pages of forum content or hours of video.

But then again as everybody here as pointed out, being adult means you pick what you enjoy and gow you do it I mean that kind of money may as well be an apparel piece or some gold-plated doodad, so don't sweat it, better yet tell your adult brain that this dough is money that you don't use in... Well the worst vice you can pick, and prestó! You're a paragnon of ok-yshness!!

@Evilbookworm keep in mind you're saving money, if you bought it all in retail it would be more expensive!

And a person needs a hobby and have fun besides the burdens of life! It's what's keeps us happy among other things!

So, I seem to be in a bit of a minority here in that I've pledged for everything I want and do not expect to add anything more before the PM closes. I just would not be able to cope with multiple pledges. I think that Reaper are very clever to run the kickstarter over 2 paydays, so I could use 2 lots of hobby money at the start and finish of the project.

 

For the record wife and I are getting the following;

Core set

2 x Dark Depths

Dungeon Dwellers

Fan Favourites

Aganzarak

Goroloth

Encounter at Gallowgard

 

Only about half what I backed for last time, so I'm being responsible... right?

 

Yesterday I actually opened my Bones 4 set and started to paint the horde of goblins. So my conscience is a little clearer.

It just happens that this month my car get's it's annual check up and needs new tires for the Winter.

So I had less to spend for the KS, I will therefore add more during the PM phase.

Agreed. I could get a lot of mileage out of expansions like that. The Greek models were the whole reason I was so excited about this Kickstarter; after seeing the pics from Reapercon I knew I was in for at least $50... and then I promptly spent over $200 more...

Same here. Pledge upfront and then wait 1.5 yrs for it to arrive.

 

I'm in a bit of a strange, unexpected scenario.  I initially said $200 max. And that lasted a long time. Then I had to raise it to 250. Then 300.  The Friday/sat I was working all day/night and then taking kids for their classes Saturday so I slept around 3 pm and woke up after the pledges closed.  Since I knew I would miss the last 3 hour rush, I added another 50.  Figured fan expansion would have some cool rare monsters and/or be some big stuff like mossbeard at the end. 

 

The Kaiju and red dragon are not in that league. (Although I'm getting both and will keep the red) Sadly I don't really like anything in the fan expansion.  Unless my friend , who we are combining (total 650 pledge) , adds a bunch more, I overbid $50. 

 

Trying to decide if there's anything I want and not really. Usually bones have been back loaded for me. The stuff I want are the cool monsters at the end. Here, it's all front loaded. Even with shipping, if we remove that 50 there's still an overbid.  

 

So I'm adding fan expansion almost just to fill the slot. Maybe I take the Japanese one instead since I do want a few figures from there. Sigh

 

This has never happened before...
