When the end of the kickstarter was nearing, I found myself paring away some pledges so that I could add a couple of the expansions. I held myself to a limit and was pretty proud of myself, until they revealed the Fan Favorites expansion. I checked it and thought that it would be great to add on in the pledge manager after the Kickstarter..............and then I saw the Buglips figure. Instant click and add on, and I went way over budget due to shipping costs.  It cost me some money, but I couldn't not get it because my friend has been immortalized.

I am a poorer man for knowing @buglips*the*goblin, but I am rich in stank (which is the goblin word for 'friend'. I guess that makes Buglips VERY friendly).

This made me think of that scene in Iron Man where Stan Lee shows up with a package for Tony Stank! Now we know @buglips*the*goblin secret identity!

No, she was going to be separate, so those aren't an issue.  The issue I had was the ropes I was going to have holding her onto the beam.  They would have to both be a part of her and a part of the beam; where to I put the break in the rope so it matches and models up well.  Very hard to do right.

I'm not certain we'll do the plaque either, I mean the beam is a big plaque.  could just put nail head in behind the beam to make it look like shes fastened from behind.  That said, the plaque does add something, but it would then HAVE to be molded as a part of the beam (mostly from a molding cost perspective; every part added adds cost to the molds and later to the end product), and I think that defeats the purpose you are looking for.  I need more thought on it.

Yup, if you wrap the ropes completely around the beam, then model the ones on the mermaid, it leaves modelers an option that is easy to do. Simply add ropes to a sign, shark, goblin, etc...

Looking at the comments on KS and MAN, there are a LOT of people who can't be bothered to read!  How does the PM work?  Can I increase my pledge?  Same basic questions over and over again.  Going and looking at FAQ is too hard?  Crikey, you just have to scroll down two questions to see the answer to the person who asked basically the same thing!!  Then there's the "How long is the PM open", which is answered on the front page of the campaign.  Yeesh...  Glad I'm not the one responsible for having to answer them all (politely).  :grr::blink:

I hope you are all happy. Spent the last 30 minutes whipping up another tortle on heroforge to go with the spikeshell antipaladin. It's either customs or wait 2 years for Bones 6, hope I can persuade them to make turtlefolk adventures party and wait another 2 years after that for the minis...

so you can offload the mammoth from the ship, with siege weapons attached to it, as you assault the ruins of ravenhome?

For those wanting the "Balding Rogue" he is a Dark Heaven metal release already. He's been out for quite awhile now. I know "evil" metal but he's there if you want him now.

RIDLEY DARKEDGE, MALE ROGUE

Sculpted by Julie Guthrie

$5.99

I haven't decided what I want but I think I'll probably go with a Core set this time around, it's been awhile (B1) but I'll weigh what looks good for me now as this is the first Bones KS that occurred while running games at the local game store. Others have just been "oooo this is cool, I'll buy this".

Expansions, I'll probably get more then B4 this time around. I picked up 2 from that one. Couple of them are a must (Greek, Brinewind), some are a ehhhh (Damiyo, Dino-people are a major turn-off for me) & I don't need it due to have most of it in metal already (Dungeon Dweller).

Encounters, these will most likely be all of them. I like the idea & all of them will be neat to have.

Ship, this one I'm not sure. I'm getting the Unpainted version of the Falling Star from the local shop already, so do I really want 2 ships? (I guess good for s2s combats). Still like Mal, it's one thing I probably won't get when it comes to retail due to price, so buying it during pledge period is important.

Overall, lots of very nice minis came out of this KS. I was happy with the overall route of the KS.

i guess i see bones a bit different (and not really what their goal is).

I want a bunch of their versions of D&D monsters that others have not made yet and if they are cheaper, so be it.

Sanjay

I would like to see this as well, however I think that some of the reluctance has to do with violating WotC IP.
