There are Pintles involved with the ship’s rudder as well ...completely different piece of hardware.

I mean... they are both vertical pivots designed to help you swivel a heavy thing side to side, right?

The details may vary, but the idea seems the same.

Compromise.

The Brinewind dinghy with an all catpeople crew. It's small enough for a handful of minis to crew.

Now that has possibilities, maybe even an aeronaut style boat!

That will make for a long year.  Best to just give in now.

I agree.  And fully give in, because you'll want one or two of the small ones as well, so they can invade islands and whatnot for plunder!

If I RPGd fantasy, I would definitely be all over these. As it is, sadly, it would be a large decoration. I would love to paint one up and have fun with it, but crud, at 3' in length...

I mean... you can repeat it all you want. Doesn't make it true.

It would never work; cats would end up just pushing everything on the deck, as well as all the cannon, off the sides of the ship anyway, just to watch them fall.

Of course you don't!

You need the Frigate with an all Otter Crew!

Looking for an exuse to put a sailing ship in spaaaaaace?

There are precedents:

Such as the mysterious Skull from the Star Fleet / X-Bomber-puppet animation show

If you get the ship... you could use the masts and the cannon to build two or three smaller ships. Just scratchbuild some simpler hulls, temporarily mount the masts (magnets), cannons are loose equipment. As is the anchor, the binnacle, the ship’s wheel, etc.

Just throwing this out there for anyone interested (yes I did back and no, I don't know them)...
I did back their last KS as well and was happy with the results. They did a great in keeping people up to date and got all of the files out quickly.

The figures look "funny" in the pictures due to them using the print-ready 3D files. I think that at the smaller scales especially, they are enhanced just enough so they will keep their detail and make them easier to paint IMO.

Anyway take a look if you are interested!

Just a fun little surprise I happened across earlier.  No pictures of the dice and it's ending today, but some really nice ones on their store and I've friends who own some so I thought I'd give it a go.
