That's pure sophie-istry.

That's otterly ridiculous! Well, I am still trying to decide whether I want to devote the 3' of shelf space to this of the Chimera from Starship IV.

Was just thinking, when I open up the Core Set in the distant future, I'd love it to include a fold-out poster of the Core Set graphic from the Kickstarter page, just so I get a reminded of exactly HOW MUCH is included.

Actually, the Core Set image will stay up on the Kickstarter page indefinitely; so you will be able to look at it constantly between now and delivery.
(And I think it’s fair to say most all of us will be pouring over all the pictures on the Kickstarter page repeatedly between now and delivery. )

Also, those pictures are handy for when your order arrives to make sure everything that’s supposed to be in the various Core, and Expansion boxes  are actually in them when you get them.

Hmmmm...wonder if the Encounters will come in their own dedicated graphics-covered boxes or just bags?

Like, I'm not going to riot or anything, but I'm pretty disappointed that this ship isn't likely to be named "Dark Maiden."

She's a ship that's been part of Reaper lore for twenty years at this point, she's already got a beautiful figurehead (several sculpts), she's a pirate ship, she's a GHOST pirate ship.

But I can see why crowdsourcing the official name is profitable for Reaper. I'm just a bit bummed out by it.

I am hoping that one of the first extra figureheads they make (assuming that possibility actually happens) is a new sculpt of Dark Maiden.

I believe that on Reaper Live Ed made a comment about the Dark Maiden and wanting to include that as a figurehead option.  I'd be down with naming the ship that too, but I'll settle for just the option.

I'd love for it to be the Dark Maiden...  And a new sculpt of her to be done up for such...

I think it behooves us to lobby for the option on Reaper Live.  Ed expressing support for an idea is a good starting point, but fan support would probably help.  It's also the coolest figurehead option I can think of for such an epic ship.  ::D:

I guess what we need are options...

Hi all. Please forgive me if this question has already been answered somewhere in the depths of this thread.

The FAQ states that “some of the options” will be cast in Bones Black. Do we know which ones?

I’m primarily wondering about:

Dragonfolk

The Spiders of Emrith Kul

and

Encounter at Mandupar Pass

... but info about all of them would be great.

Thanks.

My understanding is that ALL of the size class Medium (Human sized) and smaller figures will be Bones Black, regardless of group (core, Expansion, Add on, Encounter). Size class Large and greater figures, terrain, etc will be cast in Bonesium, Bones Black, or (possibly for the ship) ABS on a case by case basis.

From the Kickstarter campaign page FAQ link (ALLLLL the way at the bottom):

In Bones 4 the expansions were in Bones Black and all of the larger than medium figures in the expansions were also in Bones Black.  I suspect it has to do with packaging ease.  As for the dragonfolk and those two encounters, there has been no official word from reaper yet.  That said the dragonfolk are very likely to be done in Bones Black.  I think the spider encounter will also likely be done in Bones Black.  Due to the size of the terrain in the madupar pass idk which material it is likely to be.  We will likely learn more from reaper on which sets are which material as production gets further along.

Tomb Guardians over the past year has been asked to release our miniatures in a resin/plastic material because a lot of you do not like metal.  So for nearly a year we have discussed and researched the best way to produce a high quality, high detail miniature that is far above the current standard on the market.  We are happy to announce that we have found a method and decided to release all our 28mm monsters in a High Resolution Resin.  These miniatures will come with a 1 year guarantee, if you break one we will replace it for FREE!  Just mail it back to us.   Bobby Jackson, Jason Weibe, Gene Van Horne and Patrick Keith help create these amazing creatures.  We hope you enjoy our Monsters and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
