which linnorn do you want?

i want a corpse tearer, midgard serpent, and dread ... corpose tearer would be an interesting project to build from scratch...

I don't really have a particular Linnorm in mind. I have never used them before. Probably will sit down and look at them once I've got it going.

something i drew many many many years ago   seems fitting

I totally agree with you in that those particular exaggerations are not very realistic in function. This was a challenging character/figure to create because I wanted her to read as feminine but als

Dragons, lots of dragons in this KS and its hard to choose which ones to have!

So, going to ask for some assistance to narrow it down :)

If you were only only to choose just TWO dragons from the addons, which would you choose:

Valfuryx

Aganzarax

Shavynra

Krateryx

Ildraedis

Kalanzar

Any opinions warmly welcomed.

I have never regretted adding more dragons in the pledge manager phase.  I don't always enjoy the painting phase, but I love my painted collection of dragons.

and so does my mini-spawn as she is allowed to play with most of the dragons.

My order of need:

Valfuryx -  is the only extra dragon I decided was an absolute must have, I like his bulky frame and smug look.

Aganzarax  - I need one with forward horns to match my image of a black

Kalazandar - this is just an awesome vertical pose.

Krateryx - nice crouching position but I would just prime him solid colors.  Sometimes translucent is too much extra work to paint well.

Ildraedis - I like the ruff as matching a pathfinder white.  but the stance is boring and I would prefer the older single fin look.

Shavnra - nope.  just don't like this one.

I'm in for the top 2, but the middle 2 are certainly possible.

Aganzarax and Valfuryx are my favorites, but Ildraedis has that big wing span.  IMO, the $15 dragon Core Set Extras is a good deal, and so is the $4 gem dragon.  Smaller, yes, but it gives you variety.

Meanwhile, go find yourself a Pathfinder Red and Kyprhyxis,  or Diabolus, or Narthrax from previous campaigns.

Maybe he's not totally wrong. Words and their uses change over time.  This article is interesting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiver_my_timbers

That gives some other interesting takes on the phrase.  We probably can't know for 100% certain where it came from but it's fun to think about.

Here's the oldest definition of "Shiver" as a verb (per M-W online):

Quote

to break into many small pieces : SHATTER

The first noun definition is:

Quote

one of the small pieces into which a brittle thing is broken by sudden violence

I would take the meaning of the phrase to refer to shattering the timbers of a ship (through whatever mechanism), which would disable or sink it. (It's actually difficult to sink a vaguely intact wooden ship; they tend to burn to the waterline, break up, explode, or capsize instead.)

I asked again about the succubi and incubi, as some had voiced thoughts that they were more display pieces, not table top game pieces.  They addressed my question... maybe 1.5" bases...  Yeah, that's not going to work well with D&D and a 1" grid.

This test print of the Firegiant is a little larger than they intend him to be (and is bigger than the existing Fire Giants.  He will be shrunk down a bit.

Seriously? 1.5" bases? Well, that may save me a bit of money, then.

Aganzarax is the first choice, but I've a fondness for swampy dragons.

After that I like Ildraedis and Shavynra.  I've already got Wizkids huge white, so my second would probably be Shavynra--although I think its neck is a bit bulky.  Valfuryx and (I think) Krateryx both have nice smug looks on their faces, so there's something to those two as well.  Kalanzar is my least favorite.

I can't find it now, but somewhere during the Kickstarter a picture of Shavynra from the front was posted.  In an update or somewhere on Reaper Live, I don't know.  She's got these claws on the tips of her wings, and I love the posing of them from the front.  Very intimidating.

Other than that, I would go for Valfuryx or Aganzarax.  They're the most unique from this KS.  Kalanzar is impressive, but most existing Reaper dragons work fine for a red, including T'Raukzul which is about the same size.  I agree that Ilraedis' stance is a bit plain.  I also want to try mounting an LED in Krateryx, but otherwise I'm not fond of the crouched pose.  So if I had to pick two, we'll say Shavynra and Aganzarax.

Ugh...

Note that these are shown on tabs, but the final models will be based on round plastic bases.

Why? Why does Chronoscope get a nice, neat, round plastic base again, but the fantasy stuff keeps getting these annoying, hard to remove, hard to integrate ovals? Can we just get some consistency? Some simple, integral 1" round bases on the fantasy minis too? I hate having to either cut off the ovals (harder to do with Bones Black than with the old fashioned Bones) or build up the basing around the oval (harder to match the textures on the base). Please consider this in the future, Reaper.

I get the impression that Kalanzar is smaller than T'Raukzul. Obviously, I can't be sure, but my understanding is that it's a smaller dragon overall...

Hooray! on the 1.5 size. There are soooooooooo many, many models that badly overhang a 25mm round, but look lost and silly inside a 2 inch round. That new size is needed.

As for the pesky, ubiquitous one inch grid. Just plonk a 1.5 inch round onto the intersection of 4 squares and double-dog-dare any Kobolds to invade that whole zone. (Which is ....shusssssh don't tell anybody.... a proper 10x10 D&D map square.)

Yeah, I generally base "large" models on something from 1.5 - 1.75" in diameter. When you're using a grid, it helps to be able to see what's in the squares under the critter. I often use 20mm (or so) bases for "Medium" models as well, and for the same reason.

Or maybe I'll use M&Ms or dice. Depends. :B):

Wellcome to our biggest miniatures ever! Blood and Skulls ork rider is the largest and more detailed miniature in 70 mm scale that Nocturna models released in all of these years. This project is really monstruous and we need your help to fund it.
Take a look at all the figures in the campaign, all of them are in 70 mm scale. Blood and Skulls is 28 cm high!
        28 cm total size

I've bought everything this company has put out so far.  I'll probably pick up these two as well.  Really great figures based on classic artwork.

These two are both nude, so I can't show pictures here!

"The muses" is a range of miniatures offered by Golem Miniatures.
These 80 mm scale figures, in limited edition, will all come from realistic and oriental paintings of great painters of the nineteenth, a period that we greatly love.
During the fourth campaign "The muses", we had suggested that you submit ideas for the next muses. A vote had then been put in place to decide between the 27 muses that you had selected.
One muse dominated this vote: "La boîte à bijoux" painted by Guillaume Seignac.
To accompany it, a second muse has been chosen on the same theme: "human skin on animal skin". You will discover it below, hoping she inspires you! :)

During the third Muses campaign, we produced the magnificent Lady Godiva painted by John Collier, a famous English painter and one of the founders of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
Here is another of his works: "Lilith" painted in 1889.
Lilith is a mythical Hebrew and Biblical figure (Adam's first wife), whom some see as the very first portrayal of feminism in history.

      Story
I'm Adam Sadler, senior game designer at Blacklist Games, and I love miniatures. They are what got my brother Brady and me into the hobby back when we were teenagers. Whether we’re using them in roleplaying games, board games, or tabletop miniatures games, we love collecting, assembling, painting, and playing with them. While Blacklist Games has published several of our games that feature miniatures, they saw our passion could be used for the creation of a new division that would focus solely on miniatures and allow for company growth in parallel with creating great board games. With everyone at the company excited about the possibility of this new division, here we are to share it with you!
Blacklist Miniatures will focus entirely on producing high quality, highly detailed, pre-assembled plastic miniatures to be used in any type of game. Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1, our first miniatures line, is not only a celebration of our love for miniatures, but also of all things fantasy.
With your support, this campaign will not only bring this project to life, but also open the door to other lines of miniatures in various genres and even new games to utilize them!

First time posting a KS thread.  Tribality is releasing a companion book to their previous KS "Seas of Vodari."  I thoroughly enjoyed the previous book and have been looking forward to this one.
As this is the first time I'm posting a KS thread, please feel free to let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.

I think that's enough for context.  The rest can be found on the KS page.
