I saw that they kind of "officially" announced the Pledge Manager being open in today's update...anyone heard any info on the status of adding PayPal?

I think it's in the "soonTM" timeline still.

First order put in!  2x Dragon Bust, 1x new paint set...  And there's what I pledged gone, with 40% of it having gone to shipping o_O

@TaleSpinner noticing that Arakoth suddenly needs a base, a question.

Can this spider support it's own weight in Bones?

I had this girl in Bones and her legs part under the weight so much that her belly touches the ground, I ended up not painting her and cutting her in half for future parts.

I would rally like to know if Arakoth is sturdy enough to stand on it's own when cast in Bones.

Yes and no. Aarakoth is designed with this in mind. When properly assembled, the abdomen just touches the ground providing a 5th point of contact.  So no, it shouldn’t slump. The base was added to help people index the legs better as they assemble it, but it shouldn’t be needed if you have your own base, just make sure that the 4 legs are glued to some sort of base or in sockets so they don’t spread over time.

I think I would rather a clear flying base under the spider and a clean sculpt rather than a pile of crap underneath

Once more, it doesn’t need a base from a support perspective, it is there to aid in assembly and indexing the feet. It should support itself fine. Even my spreading comment is likely incorrect as I designed the legs for strength, but am trying to cover all possibilities. In resin it is totally rigid.

the resin would be, but i wonder, similar to people having issues with models with large wings, i wonder if there is risk of the legs bending in bones.

Thank you, I will get one, maybe even two, I love the sculpt but would be disappointed if it slumped.

I'm bummed about Arakoth. I know that the sculptor said he'd been instructed to build one that didn't require supports, and he had done so. Not sure why it suddenly needs a base, but a hollow one that size may very well warp and be a PITA to deal with. Here's hoping, though. My Cave Spider did fine without the stalagmite impaling it when I rebased it...

I know @TaleSpinneralready responded, but go check out his WIP thread where he goes into much more detail about the base, how and why he designed it the way he did, as well a walkthrough of how he built the spider itself. It's super cool and informative!

I suggest someone (who isn't me because spiders are icky) test this. Get two giant spiders and assemble both, one with base and one without. One to go on the shelf and one for sleeping on the couch with after using it to prank the wrong person ::P:

We'll need two people for this.  One to pull off the prank and one to post the results here after reading the local obituaries.

Yikes, the resolution did not hold. I tried. Just click the link lol.

Thinking about doing this one; while I found Vance kinda torturous to read, the world is fantastically fun. And I think it'd work really well with the good things I've heard about DCC, so I could give that a try in general.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share that we have just launched the third Dunkeldorf Kickstarter! Our last Kickstarter was focusing on "The Prancing Peacock" more or less a full tavern setting.

Our new Kickstarter still focuses on the town of Dunkeldorf, but this time it's all about a Brewer "Sven Wentzel" who's also the leader of a ruthless gang of thugs. There's also more focus on the mutants that dwell in the sewers beneath the town. Finally, the third "Faction" for this campaign is Witch Hunters and their Hired Swords who are en route towards Dunkeldorf to root out the mutants they've heard continued rumours about.

The Kickstarter can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kinggames/the-kingpin-of-dunkeldorf - With our last 2 campaigns we unlocked a lot of Stretch Goals and included a bunch of extra free miniatures, accessories and pets and we hope to achieve the same this time! 🙂

It's got some really great art and cool monster concepts! Dalimar is pretty amazingly creative, too - I have 0 doubts it's going to be an awesome adventure.
