i meant a dreadmere sourcebook, not mini expansion.  Sorry I was not clear

They have hinted at it during some of the live streams, but the guy that writes it is dealing with other things in life, which is slowing down progress on the sourcebook.  That's the last info we got, maybe about 4 weeks ago.

Was there a mention of the fourth figurehead?

Yes.  They are trying to also include the Dark Maiden (no mention of which of the two versions of that model) as an additional figurehead.  If you look back through this thread, I posted the product numbers for the two versions of the Dark Maiden.

Thank you for covering for my forgetfulness. I've been so busy that I haven't been able to keep track of this thread like I used to.

So how should we raise issues of concern that don't involve subscribing to twitch and spending hours we don't have trying to see an answer? Based on my experiences trying to paint ziba I want to avoid anything that's not plug and play assembly. Anything that is cut weirdly that requires angling and forcing to assemble is a non starter. I really don't want to have to deal with selling those but I'm never putting up with that again. Not worth the aggravation.

You can tag me on here, or on all of our socials, and i will try to give you the best answer that I can @lexomatic. Ziba was apart of our new run of bones black and she was apart of the very first iteration of the new material. We have learned some stuff in the process and have heard feedback with the Rock Troll and Maggotcrown ogre, as well as Ziba. The hobby is split into many many different parts, where some people like putting their stuff together and some people just want to take it out of the package and play with it right away. So right there we know that it won't make everyone happy but we try to help everyone as much as we can in such a wide hobby that there really is no wrong way to do something.

But on the matter of things having wierd angles and cut's we have refined out mold making and our printing knowing these things going forward to help and avoid such hardships! Hopefully this helps with your concerns! If you need anything else don't be afraid to tag me everywhere: FB, Discord, Insta, Twitter, forums, reddit. :)

My memory (dodgy thing it is at times) says that the plan was to produce a Dark Maiden figure head. They anticipated using the original concept art as reference and the two existing sculpts as masters to scan. The ( hoped for ) resulting figure head would be sized comparably to the seahorse or the bonny pirate lass. That is: in-between the sizes of the previously created Dark Maidens.  But some magic Z-brush re-sculpting and ship fitting will need to happen in-between.

Not a quote ^^^^^ that is just my summation. Subject to change.

Clearly labeled speculation on my part:  There is an opportunity here to sculpt the Dark Maiden in her un-wrecked form. Remember: the extant sculpts are of a Dark Angel (Avenging Angel?) figurehead whose wings have been magically reformed from wrecked/salvaged timbers from the original ship. Maybe Ron will choose to show her as she was before the ship became a ghost ship ??? [/CLSOMP]

Any thoughts on that @Reaper Ron ?

I know of three confirmed figure heads. hippocampus, duel pistol captain, and the reaper.

the 4th is a topic of discussion. If anything happens it will be announced in the Kick-starter updates section. :)

Not much Bones 5 related stuff in tonight's Reaper Live.

Next week they should have a 3D print of the Pirate Ship to show (on Friday, it sounded like).

As of right now the ship is only confirmed to come in two colors:  Bones Black and Glow-in-the-Dark.  Ron seemed very iffy on there being a clear one at this point.

I thought he made it clear that there would only be the two versions.

My own feeling is that the glow one isn’t a good idea and I hope the sample materials they receive make them realize that and bring out a translucent instead.

You're right.  Looking back I didn't place enough emphasis on the veeeeeeery iffy party.  I agree, it sounds very much like they are only going with two colors.

The secondary color doesn't much matter to me, as I'm planning to get the regular Bones Black version, but I know it will matter to others.

Oh, one other tidbit that Ed mentioned.  The secondary color(s), be they glow in the dark, or something else, will ONLY be available in the Kickstarter Pledge Manager.  The regular Bones Black model will be the only one headed to retail.
