A late update from last week's Reaper Live.  Trenchworks is in the midst of 3D printing the Pirate Ship.  It was not yet completed, but they had some in-progress photos.

This is the fore and aft sections of the main deck (the middle parts weren't done printing), the aft section being what would be the cabin space underneath the poop decks, and the fore and aft sections of the middle deck (the hold) of the ship.  The bottom (the bilge) hadn't been printed at all, yet.  I think they are spaced out to show the full dimension of the ship, but cannot confirm.

FYI - That gray figure standing between the masts is one of the Reaper Bones Fire Giants, so you have an idea of scale with something you might already have in hand.

Additionally, that white dragon is the same one they had displayed on the table during the show, to help give a sense of the scale.

Did they ditch the seahorse rail supports, or is this a simplified test print? If those things are gone I might have to start reappraising my ship plans.

Are updates being skipped for now (which would be understandable and fine) or am I being impatient? I'm mainly looking for a distraction but so far no little badge on my kickstarter app.

I just saw the new update in my email.  They seem to be coming out after business hours.

Speaking of the new update...

Rakshasa! Rakshasa with proper twisted hands! Two rakshasa with proper twisted hands! Big burly kitty cat rakshasa!

:blues:

Big Burly Kitty may get his hands swapped to normal for other game use!

While I like the rakshasa poses, I kinda wish it wasn't a beefy male. I'd have preferred a normal body size. Oh well, if anything I always have the Mahadi prepaint from the Avernus set.

Only one hand was properly twisted if you look.

Please explain? It looked like the hands were bilaterally symmetrical (but with the thumb-analog-digit positioned outboard on both).

However! one of the arms had the wrist rotated but the other one was not rotated?

@Rainbow Sculptor  if you and @Reaper Ron decided to make the disassembly point where the forearm meets the bracer that would please both camps (Rakshasa / Tiger-man) the hands could be assembled either way.

Perhaps that would solve casting and mold-release issues if the hands* were separate pieces on a sprue. (*And by hands, I mean the hand-wrist-bracer as single piece/integrated unit.)

The current plan is to get him in a simple two piece mold so there wouldn't be any assembly required. However, the position of the bracers is not accidental and would allow for a pretty simple mod for those wanting to rotate the hands.

The right hand the palm is at the top of the forearm.  The left has the palm on the bottom of the forearm.  Both have the thumbs the mirror image of normal physiology.  One or the other is incorrect.  I took my opposite hand and used it to model the pose.  From that I determined that the palms were different but the thumbs were the same.  Nit picking I guess.
