The right hand the palm is at the top of the forearm.  The left has the palm on the bottom of the forearm.  Both have the thumbs the mirror image of normal physiology.  One or the other is incorrect.  I took my opposite hand and used it to model the pose.  From that I determined that the palms were different but the thumbs were the same.  Nit picking I guess.

“...The right hand the palm is at the top of the forearm...”

Correct ^ it is.

I can do the same same thing with my right forelimb. The bones and muscles in my forearm can rotate my wrist joint almost 180° and my palm will be “up”.

In that rotated position, my thumb is outboard and the little finger is inboard.

Arnold the Massively ‘Roided Rakshasa ::P: is holding his right wrist in a similar position. (He is not just a body-builder he is a Shao-Lin Master :;): and they do that thing with weaving hand positions when in a fighting stance.)

It’s all good.

Let's face it - Rhakshasas' hands are just a bizarre concept.

Screw it, my Rakshasas/Were-tigers are all going to have metal robot golem claws that can rotate 360°.

Anyone else notice that the male has multiple nipples, but the female only has two apparent breasts?

Them evil Hindu spirits are all kinds of messed up. Note that tiger humanoids are only one of many forms of rakshasas.

And what did they say?

Shapechanger?

She looks that way because she is dealing with humans, who look for (and at) breasts.

Bizzarely enough, one of the teams in Dreadball has what are pretty much mimic octopuses. With breasts. Because most of the opposing teams are human males, and can be distracted by the jiggle.

Even when the jiggling is accompanied by tentacles. :;,;:

Making the hands separate parts would also allow multiple weapon options. Bare hands, sword in one hand, swords in both hands.

Swapping sides would allow for both rakshasa and weretiger options.

Has there been any word in one of the streams about Corona delays? The last update said they would be done sculpting by end of march, so if I'm not mistaken, the Chinese partners are planned to start working on this project soon? I know Chinese factories are open again, but they're probably pretty backed up and I'm not sure a relatively small toy order jumps the line.

They have said that they are on schedule.  Right now is the master finalization before the molds are made.  Once molds are made the factories should be ready if nothing else goes wrong goes wrong goes wronggggg.  (Just my take from the feed)

The human forearm is very unusual in its ability to rotate to turn the hands all the way up or down, but the wrist joint itself doesn't really turn much. I can't really tell how the monster's radius and ulna have been positioned relative to the palm, but that would be the key to getting it "right". (For some Gygaxian definition of "right")

This is the point where this conversation became interesting to me. Now I want x-rays or an anatomical drawing of his skeleton. lol

Does anyone have a screen cap of the cannons from the ship. I remember seeing a turn-around. But I was wondering if what I saw was the final?

I am hoping that the barrels (metal finish) and the gun carriages (timber colour) will be separately moulded parts.

Full disclosure: freely admitted self-interest is as follows, I am a rubbish/low-level painter and I would find it far easier to paint the cannon barrels as separate components.

So the dude rakshasa is a straight up bonus figure? He wasn't on the initial Fan Favorites posting. Amazing that they're just adding him in for us. As a cat lover, I'll take any feline-oriented mini I can get!

The take I got on it was that the Male Rakshasa is the sculpt that WILL be in the Fan Favorites (instead of the original female sculpt), but, there is a decent chance the female sculpt will also be made (and presumably thrown in as a bonus figure for Fan Favorites, though they did not ever explicitly state as such).

Not sure what the confusion is on the Rakshasa hand positions.  They are anatomically correct as to the mythologically-appropriate palm orientation.  I can orient my own limbs into those exact positions, with the only difference being my thumbs and fingers should bend the other direction than they do in order to exactly match the drawing.  I'm extremely happy they are getting the Rakshasa hands "right."
