I was just perusing the Pledge Manager, and saw this under the Power-Ups.  I don't recall having seen anything about it previously.

 

 

The knight on the right looks like a brother in arms to mini 335 from the Dungeon Dwellers expansion.

Well. I want that. Okay, mostly for the dragon and the knight, but.. I want that.

Yeah, I like the mini's. Seems a bit overpriced compared to some similar sets in the power-ups. 

(Demonic Legions has 1 Large and 6 Mediums for $12; this has what appears to be 1 Large and 3 Mediums for $10.) Not overly so, but just enough that I might not get it. At $8 I'd absolutely get it, and might even at $9.

 

The three mediums will end up totaling $10.47 at retail, so you are basically getting the dragon for free... So still a deal, but not as good a deal as some other things.

I like the dragon, wizard, and knight, but I feel like there must be an industry-wide conspiracy to always sculpt barbarian-esque characters as two-weapon fighters instead of great weapon fighters.

As far as I know, we haven't heard anything about this aside from the fact it showed up in the PM. 

 

But, the dragon does look like it is an old metal mini they are transitioning to Bones. Maybe someone recognizes the sculpt, or even has it?

It's the Young Forest Dragon (SKU: 03350). No

idea how large it actually is, though.

As the Great and Wiise All-seeing Griffyn, and the only[?] remaining reader of Bryangles, I can tell you the metal one is between 2 and 3 inches tall. (The outboard digit on its left side fore-claw is right at 26mm from the deck; scale from there.)

luckily i can pass on that power up, i've never been a big fan on most pewter dragons, even transitioned to Bones. They're just so...flat, usually. I love the new sculpts for Bones partly due to their much more dynamic poses and curving wings haha

 

i saw most pewter dragons, because i like Blightfang and a few others of the larger pewter dragons despite their flattened wings and poses

Wow! I just noticed that the Dungeon Dwellers Expansion comes with a new free bonus figure! That was already the expansion I was most looking forward to so this is just a cherry on top.

Ah! That's the one that was an homage to an old pewter mini from... some board game I'm forgetting the name of. That puts Dungeon Dwellers at 49 mini's, IIRC. On a per-mini basis, it is the best value outside of Core in this KS.

1" bases: ~20 per pack, $3

2" bases: ~10 per pack, $3

3" bases: ~10 per pack, $4
