something i drew many many many years ago   seems fitting

I totally agree with you in that those particular exaggerations are not very realistic in function. This was a challenging character/figure to create because I wanted her to read as feminine but als

I think a lot has changed for the mini market since Bones 1.  I also think a lot of the progress we have seen in this market is due to Reaper.  It was only after they started making things bigger and better that the other miniature companies saw there was money in it.  Now it seems like there are many more miniature companies as well as people buying minis.  In short Reaper is definitely focusing on new blood this time around, but I am not sure that is a bad thing.  I just hope they don't forget to entice the people who have been collecting for a while and also continue to push the bar by making unique minis that are not being offered else ware.

Also if they put elfing dinos in the Greek Mythology expansion   :grr:

They need Ninjas though...

Maybe they are there but we can't see them.

So I'm guessing a different Goroloth from Bones 2 I hope!

The new one is based on a similar concept to that one, but the pose is quite different and I reinterpreted a lot of the features.  Tentacles are more true to the concept, eyes are different, it is armored like a spiny lobster, etc...  Other things are similar.  Same family, but a different species.

Is the new Goroloth bigger or smaller?

Hard to say.  I gave them 2 versions, one for a 3" base and one for a 2" base.  I think they are planning on going with the 3" one, if so, the whole is about 5" long, but due to the more vertical pose, it fits on a 3" base.  I can't wait for you all to see it!

I hope they do both... I could use some smaller versions too.

If they were going to do that, I'd rather repose the smaller one so that they are not exactly the same.

I'm going to mirror other people's comments... DD is perfect if you're just starting out and want a collection of heroes and monsters. If I didn't back Bones IV I would likely be picking that up.

Right now, I'm in for:

  • the core (always an amazing value) ($120)
  • the paint set (again, value) ($18)
  • the dragonborn set ($10)
  • maybe one of the big dragons ($14)

So I'm already looking at $162. Reaper is very good at extracting money from me.

It also looks like a perfect gift for a starting GM.

I may add a second for just that purpose, though I don't know if we can hold on to it long enough for BD to run her first dungeon!

Grump put together a starter GM box of Bones for Sam, and Chris did the same thing for Becca. BD is MY turn! ::P:

I love the dinosaurs, but i would rather them not as part of the expansions, feels like they are taking space from something cool in the Daimyo Expansion and until i looked at it again after your comment i wasn't interested in it, but now its like its a cool expansion except for 6 minis that seem unusable.

How are dinosaur samurai any more unusable than hobgoblin or elemental or or undead or succubus samurai?

In the pre-launch thread (https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86871-pre-launch-bones-5-excitement-thread/), these guys are featured. Any guess if they're going to actually make it in or what they would be called?

Just a guess, but I'd say bronze Golems, possibly in a Greek set?

      Story
Wellcome to our biggest miniatures ever! Blood and Skulls ork rider is the largest and more detailed miniature in 70 mm scale that Nocturna models released in all of these years. This project is really monstruous and we need your help to fund it.
Take a look at all the figures in the campaign, all of them are in 70 mm scale. Blood and Skulls is 28 cm high!
        28 cm total size

I've bought everything this company has put out so far.  I'll probably pick up these two as well.  Really great figures based on classic artwork.

These two are both nude, so I can't show pictures here!

"The muses" is a range of miniatures offered by Golem Miniatures.
These 80 mm scale figures, in limited edition, will all come from realistic and oriental paintings of great painters of the nineteenth, a period that we greatly love.
During the fourth campaign "The muses", we had suggested that you submit ideas for the next muses. A vote had then been put in place to decide between the 27 muses that you had selected.
One muse dominated this vote: "La boîte à bijoux" painted by Guillaume Seignac.
To accompany it, a second muse has been chosen on the same theme: "human skin on animal skin". You will discover it below, hoping she inspires you! :)

During the third Muses campaign, we produced the magnificent Lady Godiva painted by John Collier, a famous English painter and one of the founders of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
Here is another of his works: "Lilith" painted in 1889.
Lilith is a mythical Hebrew and Biblical figure (Adam's first wife), whom some see as the very first portrayal of feminism in history.

      Story
I'm Adam Sadler, senior game designer at Blacklist Games, and I love miniatures. They are what got my brother Brady and me into the hobby back when we were teenagers. Whether we’re using them in roleplaying games, board games, or tabletop miniatures games, we love collecting, assembling, painting, and playing with them. While Blacklist Games has published several of our games that feature miniatures, they saw our passion could be used for the creation of a new division that would focus solely on miniatures and allow for company growth in parallel with creating great board games. With everyone at the company excited about the possibility of this new division, here we are to share it with you!
Blacklist Miniatures will focus entirely on producing high quality, highly detailed, pre-assembled plastic miniatures to be used in any type of game. Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1, our first miniatures line, is not only a celebration of our love for miniatures, but also of all things fantasy.
With your support, this campaign will not only bring this project to life, but also open the door to other lines of miniatures in various genres and even new games to utilize them!

First time posting a KS thread.  Tribality is releasing a companion book to their previous KS "Seas of Vodari."  I thoroughly enjoyed the previous book and have been looking forward to this one.
As this is the first time I'm posting a KS thread, please feel free to let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.

I think that's enough for context.  The rest can be found on the KS page.
