Thoramel
So I've finally decided I'm going to add a third pirate ship. Been leaning that way for a while. But wasn't certain until this morning. Now I've been sitting here all day trying to decide if it's going to be another regular ship, or a glow in the dark ship. Tough decision. 5
Chris Palmer
After convincing myself I was done, I just added the Villagers set to poach for Siege Engine crewmen. And Shadow of Ravenhome, since I have the Dragons Don't Share terrain, and this will allow me to expand my ruined tower complex. Now, I'm done. It would be interesting to know how much extra money is generated now between the Dec. 1st and Jan 31st from the folks (like me) who decide to take "just one more look" at the PM, and find one or two other things that they convince themselves that they "need'.

Been struggling with this exact temptation myself! I have no real use for most of the minis in that set (although they're nice), but I really do fancy marrying the terrain to DDS2. The decision would be easier if the half-arch doorway hadn't been annoying me since it first appeared... On a similar note, did we ever get any decent pictures of the ghouls from the Charnel Pit set, or the skellies from Gallowgard? The ones from the campaign and pledge manager aren't very clear... Sell them to me, Reaper! Edited December 3, 2020 by Tordelback

I just got my third, and it's glow in the dark, the other two regular. I figure if I don't like the glow in the dark, I will sell that one, otherwise I will sell one of the gray ones.

While I like the female adventurer figure that comes with the Ravenhome set, and will probably keep that; I'm not a fan of vampires in general, so will probably sell or trade them. $14 just seems like a great deal for the terrain alone.

But we were looking at our gaming surface and realized we have enough space to host a three ship battle. I've images in my head of the PCs fighting pirates from their own ship when the commotion attracts a ship full of undead!
Maredudd
I knew I had a few more pieces I wanted but the ship wasn't one of them . . . then I saw the pics of the Ship assembled with minis onboard . . . I'm REALLY not done yet.
ksbsnowowl
Finally added a third pirate ship (2nd one for me; one is for a friend). Black Sails convinced me I had to have a 2nd ship. I still need to max out the bases I can order (another $90...) and would probably want to get a second copy of each paint set. Then it’s just a matter of convincing myself I don’t really need another catapult, or another blue dragon, etc. There are still a few items on the list I wrote up after the KS ended, so I knew how much to budget each month, but all my “must haves” are paid for. But I wanted to get the extra ship ordered before Dec 5th, just to make things easier on Reaper. They’ve been very kind in their extensions of the PM; no reason to make them sorry for it by waiting ‘til the end of January, and being the cause of possibly exceeding their final numbers. Just so many other things to spend money on (other Kickstarters, Black Friday sales, etc). Got myself a Vex airbrush for Christmas, which will definitely help with the ships...

Thought I probably won't paint it the same colour, which kind of defeats the point. I know that the wyvern from Bones 4 and some of Fantasy Scenery from Bones 4 also fit. It would be nice if Reaper continues the trend, allowing people to construct a full ruined castle that fits together.

No, I'm not getting that. I thought about it, but ultimately I didn't like it enough, as it struck me as more of a vignette piece of terrain rather than a naturally ruined terrain piece. The walls just don't look realistically "crumbling" enough along the edges, and the portcullis just seems to disappear at the top of the opening. I'm sure eventually I'll be sorry I didn't.

I liked that set until you mentioned the portcullis. Oh well, I think I can fix up something. 1
