I totally agree with you in that those particular exaggerations are not very realistic in function. This was a challenging character/figure to create because I wanted her to read as feminine but als

I am reminded of the Skunkor (Stinkor?) He-Man foe from my childhood.

It certainly was Stinkor. He's even wearing tangerine, so he's representing @buglips*the*goblin very well.

i love how people ask me how can i keep wanting models to be bigger. "what about storage" or "my shelves cant fit that" and "this makes more sense to transport for gaming" and here we have people buying more ships like its oprah giving away vacations or something...

Its funny how people prioritize stuff.   As ppl know,  for me it's

1) big epic monsters first

2) rare/uncommon monsters that don't have models

3) stuff that may be fun to paint/nice model

4) stuff worth selling to cover Kickstarter costs

It is interesting how people prioritize things - I like seeing what people choose to go with in the end, or even myself, haha. Quite a bit of what I liked at the start weren't things that I've ended up spending my money on as much, and some things I wasn't keen on at all to start have now got added onto the list. I expect my priorities will shift quite a bit over the next kickstarter (or two), as I don't really have much of a collection at the moment, so mostly I want everything. I can afford to be a bit more selective next time.

I went ahead and got a second boat, along with some extra walls and the armory sets, so that I can have a total of 4 suits of armor on the map at once.

You know, the armory was one of the few core extras I ended up getting (to my own surprise, as I wasn't too keen on it initially) and at first it was because I wanted extra suits of armour but I also realized that the rack of weapons is really as close as we'll get to a weapons pack anytime soon. I don't really have enough bits hanging around to swap out weapons reliably and I am keen to try it. Kinda wish I had also gone for enough to have 4 sets.

But it seems the core set extras are all turned off now, as well as the pirate ships. I don't think anything else is gone, but admittedly my memory is terrible.

I hadn't though about using the weapons racks as sprues for modification of minis. I still have several weapons from Bones 3, but I wish that I could buy more. I wonder how stiff the weapons on the rack are vs those of the miniatures themselves.

Anybody else have pledge manager issues? tried logging in today to check stuff and can't. Don't remember noticing any widespread issues requiring password reset again like at the beginning. Last access was end of July. So any issues since then?

"The provided login details did not work. Please verify your credentials, and try again. "

There's really no rush so I'm gonna wait til customer service gets back from vacation.

I hope we can get a page on the Reaper site with all of the photos and items from Bones 5 like we had for Bones 4.

https://www.reapermini.com/bones4

I still reference that page pretty often as it's easier to check the internet than dig through my collection, and that page is easier to search than the Kickstarter.

But especially with the pledge manager closing out options, it's becoming harder to quickly find various photos.

I have a question about the giants in this set that I hope some people might be able to help me with.

How accurately do their sizes match the "official" D&D scale? And how do their sizes match against previous Reaper giants and those made by Nolzur's?

(I realize this may be hard to answer without actually seeing the giants in person.)

I'm basically wondering if, if I bought these minis, whether they'd mismatch with other giants I might buy or be otherwise unuseful for gaming. (Why is spellchecker having a hard time with "unuseful"? That's a word right?)

Thanks anyone.

Hi.  So this is one took a tiny bit of digging.  Here's a good start: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86573-size-comparison-of-old-giants-and-new-giants/&tab=comments#comment-1838828

This shows off some models next to Sir Forscale, as well as comparisons to previous bones giants.

There's also this lovely photoshop courtesy of @ksbsnowowl

Reposting a photoshop I did last year, due to the inquiry about the Storm Giant size. This was using a photo of the 3D print Reaper had on display at ReaperCon 2019.

If they altered the size between then and now (no indication they did so), then this might not be right. But based upon all current info, I believe it to be true.

image.jpeg.6136df9916f8e19c635143a20b5eed7c.jpeg

It even matches info from the pic with Sir Forscale. Garrick the Bold is almost exactly 2” high at the tip of his sword. That puts the bottom of the giant’s knee pad at approximately 2”.  That’s what is shown in my photoshop (use the yellow ruler on the right; it is closer to in-line, depth-wise, with the placement of the scaled mini’s).

It’s at least a fair approximation, given the info we have.

Depending on what other giants you have or plan on getting, there may be some size differences.  The "New" bones giants fall in line with 5e scale much better.  At least as far as base sizes are concerned.

The Storm and Cloud giants are each a remake of a previous Bones giant that are more accurate 4E scale with giants being Large or 2in bases.  The new ones are Huge with 3in bases.

The Fire Giant will likely fit the scale of the "Huge" fire giants and frost giants Reaper has been releasing the last few years.  They are not as tall as the new Storm and Cloud Giant, but they are wide and still fit neatly on a 3in Huge base.  Note that there are older frost and fire giants in the Reaper catalogue as well.  To get the 5e scale ones look for the keyword "Huge" in the name.  I believe there are currently 6 Fire Giants and 6 Frost Giants in the new Huge size, so there's plenty of those that fit well together, though the female giants are always a bit smaller than the men.

ALSO.  The word would be "useless" but language is made up and we all knew what you meant anyways. :D

Oh wow. “Useless” of course. Haha I was typing that at 3 am so that’s a good example of what a tired brain does to you.

Thanks also for all that great information about the giants. The Reaper and Nolzur’s giants seem to fit together quite well.

Now to decide whether I can afford to add more money to the PM for them...

Alright, I think I did actually close out my real, genuine, actual final order in the PM. I'm officially out of "maybe" things and everything else is pretty much gone. Got both paint sets + the mammoth earlier in the week and just paid out for the fire giant and the spiders of emrith kul. Everything else I'm just not interested in or already got. :poke: End total ended up being over $800 USD, which. Blah. I am NOT doing that next kickstarter, haha (I'm gonna try not to, anyway). 521 miniatures, including terrain, not including dice + bases in core. Which, at Canadian exchange rate, comes in at... $2.05 per mini. Not TOO bad. Considering I pay, on average, $5 - $7 for a miniature here, it's pretty good.

Also considering the size of some of them. I popped into one of the local game stores and they had the Adult Black Dragon that WizKids just put out up for sale. It appears to be close to the size of the dragons in this Kickstarter and was retailing for $90 CAD.  Prepainted or not, that's a little hard to stomach. That's the cost of all five dragons. That's two thirds the cost of the core set alone! My stupid currency...

Anyway, final list, with miniature counts included;

  • Bones 5 Core Set - (152)
    • Extra Loot Golem - (1)
    • Extra Dragon-Lion - (1)
    • Extra Gem Dragon - x2 (2)
    • Extra Armory - (4)
    • Extra Wraith Dreadnights - x2 (6)
    • Extra Boulderkin - (6)
    • Extra Zombies - x2 (8)
    • Extra Kobold Swarm - x2 (36)
  • Expansion: Greek Odyssey - (25)
  • Expansion: Dark Depths - (37)
  • Expansion Fan Favourites - (45)
  • Expansion: Dungeon Dwellers - x2 (98)
    • Encounter: Shadows of Ravenhome - (10)
    • Encounter: Charnel Pit of the Ghoul Queen - (11)
    • Encounter: The Spiders of Emrith Kul - (11)
  • Option: Valfuryx the Vile, Huge (Green) Dragon - (1)
  • Option: Aganzarax the Foul, Huge (Black) Dragon - (1)
  • Option: Shavynra the Slayer, Huge (Blue) Dragon - (1)
  • Option: Ildraedis the Devourer, Huge (White) Dragon - (1)

Been watching the previews for this on Bold's Instagram,  Some crazy cute models, this time sculpted by  Ismael Nieto.  I'm particularly fond of Bisa and Tori, the winners of the dino race, and the BatPacker is too cute.  Resin cast and STL like their last several releases.  I've picked up their STLs before and been very happy, Planning to try to swing for at least one in resin this time, though shipping from Sweden hurts.

Wellcome to our biggest miniatures ever! Blood and Skulls ork rider is the largest and more detailed miniature in 70 mm scale that Nocturna models released in all of these years. This project is really monstruous and we need your help to fund it.
Take a look at all the figures in the campaign, all of them are in 70 mm scale. Blood and Skulls is 28 cm high!
        28 cm total size

I've bought everything this company has put out so far.  I'll probably pick up these two as well.  Really great figures based on classic artwork.

These two are both nude, so I can't show pictures here!

"The muses" is a range of miniatures offered by Golem Miniatures.
These 80 mm scale figures, in limited edition, will all come from realistic and oriental paintings of great painters of the nineteenth, a period that we greatly love.
During the fourth campaign "The muses", we had suggested that you submit ideas for the next muses. A vote had then been put in place to decide between the 27 muses that you had selected.
One muse dominated this vote: "La boîte à bijoux" painted by Guillaume Seignac.
To accompany it, a second muse has been chosen on the same theme: "human skin on animal skin". You will discover it below, hoping she inspires you! :)

During the third Muses campaign, we produced the magnificent Lady Godiva painted by John Collier, a famous English painter and one of the founders of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
Here is another of his works: "Lilith" painted in 1889.
Lilith is a mythical Hebrew and Biblical figure (Adam's first wife), whom some see as the very first portrayal of feminism in history.

      Story
I'm Adam Sadler, senior game designer at Blacklist Games, and I love miniatures. They are what got my brother Brady and me into the hobby back when we were teenagers. Whether we’re using them in roleplaying games, board games, or tabletop miniatures games, we love collecting, assembling, painting, and playing with them. While Blacklist Games has published several of our games that feature miniatures, they saw our passion could be used for the creation of a new division that would focus solely on miniatures and allow for company growth in parallel with creating great board games. With everyone at the company excited about the possibility of this new division, here we are to share it with you!
Blacklist Miniatures will focus entirely on producing high quality, highly detailed, pre-assembled plastic miniatures to be used in any type of game. Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1, our first miniatures line, is not only a celebration of our love for miniatures, but also of all things fantasy.
With your support, this campaign will not only bring this project to life, but also open the door to other lines of miniatures in various genres and even new games to utilize them!
