Venun
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/882850102 From about 0:50 there's talks about the EU and shipping part. For me personally, as long as I don't have to pay VAT twice, I'm good. Most about my questions and such was the big lack of information. This satisfies some part of it at least. I hadn't thought to look in Reaper Live about this, I'd expected it in the Bones Live updates :) 2

These Kickstarters are erm... space-crunching. Bones IV has been compacted (mixing up some of the boxes to fit more in one) and lives under the paint desk. Most figures live in boxes in the corner with the coffee maker in the kitchen area. Bones V is going to be challenging to store. I think I will be able to get it down the stairs (we're ground level, instead of Up). Not even kidding, miniatures storage is why I upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment. And I'm pretty sure at this point that the two pirate ships I got for us are going to get stored at my work's warehouse.

So basically VAT would only be applied once, and that's exactly what I needed to hear. I don't mind if it's going to be delayed, I have minis to paint. 6
Crowley
I'm definitely glad we're moving to a bigger place this spring, cause I don't know where any of this is gonna go... especially those big dragons...
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted January 27, 2021 Moderator Share Posted January 27, 2021 I also have upgraded to a larger dwelling, so I've got more room for miniatures.
Cyradis
It is unlikely we could find a place significantly larger than this in the area we are, at a reasonable cost. Might get a better configured apartment at some point - since this one is super old and has issues. Like... no electrical outlet in the bathroom. One of the kitchen cabinets used to be the ice box because the place was build before fridges were a thing. So the fridge is taking up space that wasn't typically planned for. But apartment hunting during plague? Eh. I can wait a bit longer.
Smallbunyanga
I'm genuinely surprised that those gorgeous colossal dragons are still available. I bought them to fill my Chromatic niche
Smallbunyanga
I've already assigned them colors
Adrift
I’m really on the fence about what to do with the shadow dragon. 1) paint him. (Meh) 2) ink him so that the translucence is still a major factor (better) 3) ink him and drill a micro LED light into him so that he’s translucent and emits a glow if I do choose (best)

The thought just occurred to me, and I'm curious about what the effect of such a translucent medium over a clear mini would be.

Perhaps I need to stretch and try LCD like @Adrift plans. now I don't know. Black is the only huge/ chromatic I haven't painted - although I have the pathfinder painted as a large black. I still have 3 (only) unpainted reaper dragons, and colors chosen for 2. more thought is required

I want to leave most of the translucent plastic untouched except the lining so I can also put it on an LED base to light the whole thing from below.

Kind of, in that I've thinned a wash a little bit and then brushed it on in a haphazard manner to highlight certain areas of the mini. But just an FYI, from my experience the translucent minis need to be prepped a bit to receive ink/wash/glaze of any kind otherwise it doesn't perform the same way as it would applying it to an already painted surface. I use Tamiya Flat Clear XF-86 on translucent minis first and when it dries it looks no different than the original, but reacts more like a painted figure.
